Savvas Adamou you don't know the real story, mate. The assassin was in the parade where the king and queen were there in their car, the car was moving slowly, he threw a bomb to assassinate both of them, but he missed, then the assassin was caught by the authorities. Minutes later, he escaped from them. Seeing this the driver calculated that it's better to take an unpredictable/unusual way to reach the destination since the king is being targeted, but that assassin predicted wrongly and ended up correctly at the correct time, there he shot both of them which lead to WWI, WWII

@David Still Several of the early cases had visited Huanan Seafood Wholesale Market and so the virus is thought to have a zoonotic origin. The virus that caused the outbreak is known as SARS‐CoV‐2, a newly discovered virus closely related to bat coronaviruses, pangolin coronaviruses, and SARS-CoV.
The scientific consensus is that COVID-19 has a natural origin. The probable bat-to-human infection may have been among people processing bat carcasses and guano in the production of traditional Chinese medicines.

Life's just random chance. I can recall a moment in my life whilst walking down the street I decided to do a a U turn. It resulted in me meeting a person that diverted my life to me leaving home at 17 meeting many other people and moving to a different area. If I didn't turn back down that street, it's 's impossible to say what my life would be like, what other people I would meet. Even the tiniest of choices, affect the lives of countless others.

I've read a stort from Reddit on a sub called r/Makemycoffin where users post videos / pics of recorded people dying (usually by accidents or murder) and a top post (or a pinned post, i forgot) had a user mentioning that this sub had saved his life, as one day he was driving and then on a traffic light, he was about to cross the green light immediately but he suddenly thought of the subreddit. So, he slowed down his car to check for any speeding cars before crossing, and guess what? A car literally swooshed past him at 100kph which would crash (and kill) him hadn't he stopped for a second.

Me and my brother was discussing this a week ago.
Our mother told us about a doctor who was going home from work one day and got killed by a falling tree.
I was like "Imagine if he was just 20 second early or late, he would have lived." So me and my brother started talking about what could have led to that moment.
My brother said that for example, he could have been there at that exact spot just because he was 5 minutes late for school one day. Imagine, the alarm clock doesn't ring and you wake up late and you start walking to school, as you are walking to school you get to see some paramedics in action as they are saving someone or taking someone to the hospital. This might inspire you to become a doctor when you grow up so if you weren't 5-10 minutes late you would not have seen that and you would have been on your merry way instead of being inspired.
He started going something he loved because of one day that he was late for school maybe.
Just think of all the things that needed to happend just for you to be born, or the things that happend that put you were you are now in life. Mindblowing.

The last one about Ferdinand is wrong. Millitary technology was improving crazy fast and oil had just been discovered. The European powers was eager to go to war with each other. The assassination was just a blame for Austria-Hungary to declare war on Serbia. By doing so, set off a chain reaction in Europe, starting World War I. If the assassination never happened, something else would have been the blame for the war to begin.

fun fact, during the american civil war robert e lee gave out a detailed plan of upcoming confederate troop movements on a piece of paper to all his troops, one of them wrapped it around a box of cigars, left it somewhere and forgot about it. a month later, union army troops were casually patrolling the area where he left it, and they found it...

It'd a damn shame he got sent away- in the same military fashion they fled Cuba to get away from. I'm sure I'm not the only one that would like to see how little Elian has grown and whats become of his life seeing how that was around 2o years ago now

    • @LouBrikanT

I don't mean to add to the confusion. Maybe it's a Mandela Effect, but Elian Gonzalez (the cuban boy), was here in Miami at his Uncle's house in little Havana. Actually the 2 grandmothers were allowed to come to the USA to perform some (Santeria ritual)...attempt to convince his uncle to let the kid go back to his father who was in Cuba. Of course all this was orchestrated for political reasons since the late Fidel Castro was extremely superstitious. There's a legend (in their culture) that said that their government would fail with "The boy that came from the ocean" as a sign. Actually after the events were 2 "telenovelas" made with that name. So, no foster parents, and everyone in the Cuban community here in Miami knew that the whole story about the kid being saved by dolphins after his mother was eaten by sharks was bullshit, because there was no proof of anything, and the boy was miraculously found by his family in Miami, while the other part of his family lives in California. (Kind of convenient to hide the mother with the hope to be reunited later with his son), but because everyone knows the tale of "The boy...and the ocean", the cubans also took it as a sign. The whole thing spread like a wild fire ,and it got out of hand. There is where i see a butterfly effect.

I believe in the butterfly effect strongly. When I was 11 I was sat in class chewing, chewing gum and offered some to someone sat next to me (never spoken to her before) to encourage her not to tell the teacher on me. If it wasn’t for that one conversation my life would be completely different. That was 8 years ago. It’s hard to imagine what my life would be like without that one conversation. Thanks to her I met all the people who are now important in my life and has been for the years. She has even changed my family life and my course in education. It’s easy to fall in with the wrong people in school but I didn’t because of her, which caused me to advanced far and get the job I have now. So if it wasn’t for one conversation my life would be completely different.

Not certain of this .....His name was Fleming, and he was a poor Scottish farmer. One day, while trying to eke out a living for his family, he heard a cry for help coming from a nearby bog. He dropped his tools and ran to the bog. There, mired to his waist in black muck, was a terrified boy, screaming and struggling to free himself. Farmer Fleming saved the lad from what could have been a slow and terrifying death. The next day, a fancy carriage pulled up to the Scotsman’s sparse surroundings. An elegantly dressed nobleman stepped out and introduced himself as the father of the boy Farmer Fleming had saved. “I want to repay you,” said the nobleman. “You saved my son’s life.” “No, I can’t accept payment for what I did,” the Scottish farmer replied, waving off the offer. At that moment, the farmer’s own son came to the door of the family hovel. “Is that your son?” the nobleman asked. “Yes,” the farmer replied proudly. “I’ll make you a deal. Let me take him and give him a good education. If the lad is anything like his father, he’ll grow to a man you can be proud of.” And that he did. In time, Farmer Fleming’s son graduated from St. Mary’s Hospital Medical School in London and went on to become known throughout the world as the noted Sir Alexander Fleming, the discoverer of Penicillin. Years afterward, the nobleman’s son was stricken with pneumonia. What saved him?? Penicillin. The name of the nobleman? Lord Randolph Churchill. His son’s name? Sir Winston Churchill. Someone once said what goes around comes around.

The argument of "had this not happened, had that not happened" is flawed - the assumption is that a similar event would not have happened. In actuality, a similar event most likely would have happened. If the Wright brothers had not flown "first", someone else would have. If Fleming had not uncovered the properties of Penicillin, someone else would have. If Ferdinand had not been assassinated when he was, then it might have been later that day, the next or the next.
Einstein's deterministic view is not flawed or discounted by modern quantum mechanics. The "particle has no location at any time" idea is just misconstrued - the current way to observe particles causes them to move, therefore, we cannot ever know the true location.

I met my 2nd wife when I decided to grab a cup of coffee at a shared house party one night. I was watching TV up in my room when she was down in the living room. She was not enjoying herself and later told me she would never have visited again after that night. I had one chance. I had one 15 minute window to grab that coffee. We ended up being together for 20 years and built up much more wealth than I would have been able to achieve on my own. I sometimes wonder where I would be now if I did not feel like coffee that evening.

If time travel would be possible, then the future must be set because you can't go into the future if it's not written yet. But then the argument would come that you could still go into the past because that has already happened, which would make sense but if you made an appearance in the past, the future would change because you weren't supposed to be there so therefore the future has to be written if you want to go back to the time you came from. So if the future would be written already then all of you time traveling would already have happened and thus you can't really destroy anything if you time travel, because if you did you can't stop it since the future's already written in stone.

Simon G There are two theories on time: Linear Time and then Non Linear Time.
Linear Time states that the past cannot be changed and if you were to go back in time and for example find Hitler as a baby and take him and swap him with another baby and kill the original. The baby you swapped him with would be the one who grew up to be the Hitler we all know about. So it turns out that you always went back in time and swapped the baby causing Hitler's rise.
Non Linear Time states that you could go back and time and kill Hitler and that would be the end of it. You would change the future. Ww2 may not have happened and all resulting consequences of Ww2 might not have ever happened either.
A lot of people believe that if time travel were real then it would be Linear Time.
So anything that you went back and did would have already happened.
*your parents met through a party. You go back in time to see the party. During that time you meet some guy who doesnt have many friends and you suggest they have a party to maybe make some. He tells you the date of the party and it happens to be the same night as the one your parents met. So you look around and can't find any word of another party that is meant to be happening that night so you go to the one you suggested to the guy and you find your younger parents across the room introducing themselves to each other. Then it clicks*
That's Linear Time. You created the events in which your parents met therefore creating you and you going back to see the party that you in turn create.

If you went to the past suppose 1 year before you were born and changed I Tony thing or even just talked to someone you wouldn't be born. Things would change and nothing would be like it is today. Well not everything but alot of the things in the world would be different.

I use the example of where we grew up. What if our parents bought a home in a different neighborhood. That means we would have gone to a different school and made different friends. Someone else would have sat in our seats at school changing what friends some people would have had. Someone else would have moved into our house and the house they moved into, someone else would have had to buy a different house and someone else would have moved into their house creating a never ending effect, changing hundred and thousands of lives in some way. It's possible 911 wouldn't have happened had we never been born. The domino effect of our existence could have changed something that would have prevented it or minimized it's effects.

Looking at the geopolitical situation at the time it is safe to say that WWI would still have happend. The assasination was only the last drop. Any other event of similar porportions would have been good enough as everyone was basically armed to the teeth and only looking for a reason to finally go to war. It might have started a bit later and played out a bit differently but the overall conflict was unavoidable by the time of the assasinsation of Franz Ferdinand.

Before watching the video i assume its about the slightest effect in the past e.g a rock moving 1 cm away 1000 years ago that leads to a series of amplifying effects
Including the such minimal literally near impossible chance of your birth and current worlds situation
Then a reflection of your catastrophic effect on the world for simple existing due to amplifying effects off the butterfly effect therefore your special.
Another unique example is that if your parents hear or said 1 more word in any sentence in their lives, cried 1 more tear or took 1 more step on the way home you would not be born.

I liked how you explained everything. This video gave me chills. It was the closest I've been to believing we have free will. I wish we did. But I still believe we don't because of cause and effect. Yes saying hello could greatly effect someone, but the reason you said hello in the first place could have been because of a reason you had no control over. An example, babies don't smile on their own, they copy you. We are all copying many things we see or hear. Think of the reason we have accents.
