    it's good to see that Razman Kadirov has recovered well from his death, which was announced by all the Western media. Someone should inform our medias, because they don't seem to know and for them he is still dead, just as V.Putin himself died 3 days ago, according to the same reliable sources.

    "Left-Handed", an infantryman fighting at the front between Robotyne and Verbove, says Ukrainian losses have increased to alarming levels, in part due to the work of drones. The plains of Zaporizhia have turned their back on life, he says. “It’s hellish. Corpses, the smell of corpses, death, blood and fear. Not a whiff of life, just the stench of death.” Those in units such as his own had more chance of dying than surviving. “Seventy-thirty. Some don’t even see their first battle.”
    Still, Zelensky is urging them on:
    But his convictions haven’t changed. Despite the recent setbacks on the battlefield, he does not intend to give up fighting or to sue for any kind of peace.
    On the contrary, his belief in Ukraine’s ultimate victory over Russia has hardened into a form that worries some of his advisers. It is immovable, verging on the messianic. “He deludes himself,” one of his closest aides tells me in frustration. “We’re out of options. We’re not winning. But try telling him that.”
    Zelensky’s stubbornness, some of his aides say, has hurt their team’s efforts to come up with a new strategy, a new message. As they have debated the future of the war, one issue has remained taboo: the possibility of negotiating a peace deal with the Russians. Judging by recent surveys, most Ukrainians would reject such a move, especially if it entailed the loss of any occupied territory.
    The war is lost. They know it. But they are unwilling to give up.
    Zelensky's people put the blame everywhere but on the those who have caused the mess. It was the 'victory' messaging by Zelensky and his crew that has led the public into utter complacency.
    Strategically, Ukraine is losing the war because of the inadequate perception of the situation by society.
    This opinion was expressed by the commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Dmitry Kukharchuk in an interview with Channel Five.
    He claims that at the beginning of the war, all Ukrainians were ready to defend the country, there were many volunteers. But after the withdrawal of Russian troops from Kyiv, the situation changed.
    "Immediately after that, I noticed that there were theses in the media that we are fighting with homeless people, that the Russian army does not know how to fight, that in principle victory will be in a week or two, a maximum of a month. That first in the spring, then in the summer, then in the autumn, then in the winter, without specifying which winter, we will go to the Crimea. That the victory is basically victorious. So, people were put in a warm bathroom. We have broken down the vision of reality. But it didn't happen in Russia. They began to realize that the war was not going to be easy for them. They realized that they would have to fight for a long time, " Kukharchuk believes.
    He also says that the Russians are "getting stronger" every day, and if Ukraine really fought the "degenerates", it would have defeated them long ago.
    "That's why we're losing. They have these processes going on, and their public readiness is much higher than that of our society. And when they talk about a nuclear bomb, a war of all against all, for some reason it seems to me that they are ready for these processes, " the battalion commander added.
    Napoleon, Hitler and several other folks who had sought war with Russia, had to learn to never underestimate the depth of its resources. Now NATO, the U.S. and its European proxies, are learning that lesson.

      The situation in Avdivvka is of course a desperate one and isn't looking good for them.
      But they have to try and spin it is a victory by blowing Russian losses out of the water because if it is perceived that they're getting BTFO at this time it could have a devastating impact on funds, since Israel is now competing for the same jar of money and 2024 funding allocation bills have yet to take place in Congress.

    Update on the conflict in the Middle East for November 1, 2023:
    - Israel begins ground operations in Gaza;
    - In addition to incursions in the north along the Mediterranean Sea and north of Gaza City, there is now Israeli forces moving to cut Gaza City off from the rest of the southern strip;
    - This will isolate Hamas and other fighters giving Israel the advantage logistically and in terms of attrition;
    - Israel’s tempo is slower than previous operations like 2008-2009 Cast Lead which had lasted only 3 weeks;
    - Israel may attempt to wait out Hamas rather than fight it directly and immediately;
    - The slower tempo may mitigate domestic political unrest resulting from mounting Israeli losses;
    - The US continues its military build-up in the region along with its attempt to frame Iran as responsible for the ongoing conflict;
    - Long-standing documented US policy papers admit the US seeks to provoke war with Iran and considers Israel a viable proxy in order to do so; - The New Atlas

      I don't think Iran will take the bait (nor should they)
      As things are looking up for them right now and that's what has America/Isreal so concerned in the first place.
      That being said if they're attacked first or America/Israel does a false flag to justify invading them they'll have to respond somehow.
      But that's still the way they should be playing this.

      There is no alternative. NATO did their best during the summer, the result was very poor. The drone tech has made offensives extremely difficult. As long as the drones can fly undisturbed there will be minimal advances on the ground.

Preparing the battlefield may be less important, although not to be ignored. How often have we seen real combined arms operations, with deep strikes (ballistic, cruise, air, rocket and artillery strikes), close air support, regiment and larger sized units on a narrow front? I would be careful drawing any early conclusions from this conflict. Neither side is fighting according to any real doctrine, both seem to make some practical choices, with a lot of compromise and improvisation. Last but not least the SMO is limited from a Russian perspective (not sure if that is actually the right strategy, but I am just an armchair general - however how would anyone see it if you lost your son because the war was “limited” to a special operation without enough resources).

    While Russia makes progress its main failing is the Russian Air Force (Aerospace Force). Ignoring which side you are on concering Gaza, look at the intensity of the Israeli air attacks on Gaza. Reports indicate that at least 500 1,000lb bombs, likely mostly smart JDAM's (essentially FAB500 equivalents), are dropped on some days on Gaza. The Russian Air Force likely doesn't drop 100 bombs on the entire front line in Ukraine per day today and this is a major increase from past months. If the Russian Air Force had dropped say 200 FAB500 bombs per day on Avdiikva from the middle of October, the city would likely have already been taken or close to it.
    Explosions of FAB500 bombs are still highlights in Russian videos. In Gaza only particularly extreme explosions at night make the highlights.
    Any significant Russian ground attack should have direct support from a steady stream tactical aircraft controlled by frontline controllers. Arrival of FAB500 bombs at enemy positions should only be minutes after a request.
    The poor performance of the Russian Air Force in absolute terms in directly supporting ground actions in the Ukraine War has been likely the most important factor holding Russia back from making significant progress.
    The Russian Air Force is also in charge of the TOS-1 systems. These systems have too short a range, even the newest are only 10km or so, and haven't been smart weapons. This is another failing of the Russian Air Force since these systems should have had an overwhelming effect.

    wagner only exists by name. What made what it was is gone. Probably fighting against akhmat at this point. Wagner the tik tok brigade lmfao

      Nope, Wagner still there but in Africa.
      Prigo and utkin is CEO, the owner still alive.
