WOW OMG that was so brilliant- I remember the route from Cowes to Newport and on from Havenstreet to Ashey and then Smallbrook junction to Ryde St john's, Ryde Esplanade to Ryde Pier Head, and then back to Brading , Sandown , Shanklin, Wroxall. Ventnor . I was their just after Newport to Sandown line closed 1956 !!!!
Interesting - from someone that uses the real trains, and not a Train Simulator user. I live in Ryde, and work in Newchurch. Currently without a car, it means me taking the train to Sandown, and walking from there to Newchurch, on the Cycle Path that used to be the Sandown to Newport line. It is a nice walk on a good day, but I often wonder what it would be like if I could do it all by train.
Very interesting. It's just a pity that the signalling shown is so frequently inauthentic :( Home signals passed at danger (e,g. 0:30) Signals on single-track lines showing clear for the opposite direction! (e.g. 1:50) Signal brackets with empty dolls (e.g. 3:05) No distant signals (or, at least, I didn't spt any...
What a wonderful dream... The only thing that I would take issue with are the Brush Class 47's... Surely a Duff would be too big and heavy for the IoW? That and not a single Gronk anywhere!
@boeingnerd77 1) Have you created platform markers on the track so that the train recongises the stations? 2) Are you using expert controls to drive the trains? I think the start-up shut-down feature is only available in expert controls
Good Job! That is as good a recreation as I have seen in train sim. I know the area intimately and you have captured look and feeling of the island so well. The 47's were a bit over the top though - class 09 ?
At my age do not know about this type of video , but as an Ex I.O.W , I would have like to have watch the correct type of stock that ran on the line , but I enjoyed it
@boeingnerd77 Your Doors Will Not Open Try Going Under Where The Signals And All That Stuff Is Then Press M On Ur Keyboard And Click Marker Platform Then Click And Put It On Ur Track Hope This Helps!
I enjoyed that ! but surely the 47 on freight was overkill the island's 05 would have been ample or if the closures had not occured then perhaps a few 02, 03 or 04's could have been made to fit the loading guage, super stuff!
i see you have rail simulator, and i have a few problems in which i hope you can solve for me: 1. i have created my own route, added platforms(with labels) and my doors will not open,am i missing somthing or have you got any suggestions? 2. when i press z my engines will not shutdown/startup,can you tell me if i am missing somthing or have you got any suggestions? thank you for your time a rail sim fan boeingnerd77

Very nice. This was one of the harsher cuts made by BR.

@boeingnerd77 ...advanced controls to be able to use the engine commands, it also opens a few funky other controls too!
Hope I helped,

@boeingnerd77 I don't know about the engines but the platforms need to have platform markers as well as the platform
@boeingnerd77
1, you have to mark the rails at the station as "station rails"
;)
superb

Class 14’s would have been ideal, relatively small and very powerful
I would have thought that South West Trains would operate the line..
@boeingnerd77 on rail sim my engines dont turn off either when i press z
does this game come with any content or do u have to buy most of it as an add on pack?
