We have been doing this for 6 months now, but without audio (we’re deaf). We also run a third computer into the Atem Mini Extreme so we can put the gallery view up on the in house TVs. We could do it without the third computer, but this makes it a little easier. We use dual monitors in Zoom, putting gallery view on one input on the Atem, while the other computer puts the second screen on another input. Then it’s easy to switch between them as necessary. Yesterday, someone requested we add sound so this video is a big help in how to do that.
Thanks AJ for this video. We just have in-church services which are sometimes 'Zoomed out and in ' with zoom participants sometimes doing the prayers or readings. We use the same set up as you apart from (we only have the basic Atem Mini) the Atem HDMI out is sent to the screens in the sanctuary and, switch on the Atem mini from the Presentation pc , sanctuary cameras and zoom participants. So what is on the sanctuary screen is what is seen by the zoom participants. As we don't stream (via Facebook, TH-cam etc), we pre record the preacher, pre build the worship service on the Church website and publish on the Sunday morning. This pre recording of the preacher has on three occasions, where the planned preacher went down with covid, gave us the ablity to show the preacher's video in the service. Thanks again for your very helpful ministry.
I can use an OBS version including flowchart. I have 3+ computers available, x32 soundboard with USB connected to livestream computer and OBS. Computer 1 has ProPresenter 6 (for lyrics and videos) to sanctuary also sent to computer 2. Computer 2 is OBS to livestream. Computer 3 has HDMI connections from cameras (no audio). going to Computer 2(OBS). A 4th computer could be setup for Zoom if needed. Thank you.
i use the Shure X2u usb to xlr audio adapter for zoom laptop and sometimes the focusrite and a Direct input box so the laptop headphone jack has the DI (speaker Out) and the usb has the focusrite going to mixer
Thank you so much AJ, I have a few questions. This is our set up: we have a Computer that runs Powerpoint slides & songs & video onto 3 monitors for the in-person audience & is sent into the ATM via HDMI for the streamers as a camera with audio , there are 4 cameras hooked via HDMI into the ATEM (no audio) , we have a laptop for the ATEM software and TH-cam stream. We want to zoom guest speakers into the Sanctuary on the monitors and onto the stream. So what I'm understanding is we use a 3rd laptop for the zoom, configure it (Audio & Video) the same way we are sending the Powerpoint onto the monitors and to the stream. In order for the Zoomer to hear and see what's being streamed You mention a USB going from the Zoom computer into the ATEM. It that how the the Zoomer hears and sees what I'm sending to the stream? Thanks for your help, we tried to do it a different way on sunday and it was a bit of a challenge because the zoomer could not hear or see what was going on and they kept un muting themselves to ask me what was going on which sent his audio to the audience and the stream. LOL
I’ve done this with OBS, but it would be great to see how you do it. We use a single laptop, which definitely gets stretched to the limit when doing this. I’m looking to upgrade the laptop to a Ryzen computer with more memory.
Thank you so much for this video. My church did this a little while back and we had the exact setup you diagrammed. Unfortunately, we had serious loopback issues... So when the Zoom person wasn't talking I had them on mute, but when they spoke, you could hear the echo and stuff...I'm not sure how to stop this, as the Zoom person is hearing the audio from our live stream, which includes themselves talking... EDIT: After thinking about it, I think a mix/minus would work. So I would have to create a separate mixbux/aux channel that did not include their voice, specifically for Zoom, and then route that audio to the computer with the live stream feed... Is their any other way?
Wonder if the problem was at the remote guest's end. Maybe they had Zoom's Original Sound turned on and were listening on speakers coupled to their mic.
My church has a very basic in house/livestream setup --- 1 laptop, 1 ptz camera, house sound fed into a focusrite and into the laptop. If we need audio out from the computer (for music or video) into the house mix and livestream, how would it be done without creating a loop? If we run audio out from the Laptop or Focusrite into the board, theres a loop/feedback because the inputs to the mixing board feed back into the focusrite/laptop -- I can't figure it out.
Set your computer audio output to the bullet in speakers, connect that output to your house sound, have the house sound go into the focusrite, set the focusrite as your default input only, send that audio into OBS and make sure your global sound is disabled(main computer output) Doing this will avoid echo
Great video AJ! Thank you! I just recently completed a similar set-up for my church to have two way interaction between Zoom and in sanctuary Sunday School participants. What project design software did you use in your video to sketch out the layout?
Thank you for this. We are trying to use zoom as a virtual option but getting clear audio has been an issue. any suggestions? we have a focus rite connected to a Behringer x32. that focus rite connects back to the laptop, but we get really bad audio.
@@AJaytheCEO I will try to do it that way. It was just set up with the Focusrite by a tech, so I wanted to know if there were other options. any tutorials that you might have done on this or any recommendations on tutorials?

I needed this last Tuesday when we had to figure it out in 3 hours 😂. I will definitely take these tips!
Can't wait to put this to the test...Been dealing with GTM issues for the longest.

Would definitely love and obs solo tutorial. Appreciate the info and all you do!

@@AJaytheCEO thank you. I think I understand. So this will allow me to play a video/audio and have the livestream and in person crowds hear it?
@@AJaytheCEO Also, would this work if we use streamyard as well?
Yes that is correct
Yes it would

If you have an X32, why not just run USB from the X32 into your computer?

Just starting tutorials with the x32 but I'll see what I can do
Thank you very much for your response. I appreciate you taking the time.
Yesss
Thanks
What did you for the diagraming. Is that free?
Draw.io and yes it is free
OBS tutorial, Yes please....
