It's everywhere! Cedar mulch is our go-to - undyed & shredded. Cedar tends to take a lot longer to break down as well, so you'll get a few more years out of it before you have to replace it.
We use peat moss or cocoa coir to lighten our heavier soils! We have more sand here in northern Michigan, but the southern part of the state where I grew up had heavy clay soils. Lightening them helps garden plants immensely!
Question, do you sprinkle the soil acidifier on top or mix in with the soil? How does it work and make the ph soil change from alkaline to acidic? Need help😂
If you’re using the granular soil acidifier (we use Espoma organics) then you would just sprinkle on top of the soil like you would a granular fertilizer. It will gradually leach into the soil with each watering!
Thank you! Our blueberries are growing like crazy! We didn’t get a ton of berries last year (year 2) but we did have a lot of foliage growth so I’m thinking this year will be a great harvest. The temps have been so warm that I’m already seeing buds. Hopefully we don’t get a late frost that knocks them out! Happy planting!
I had no idea mulch gets dyed. Will be on the lookout for that. So glad you've mentioned it.

I live in Texas and i have clay soil. Thank you for that peat moss tip. Haven’t use it before now I can 😄

Great job, how are they doing so far? I have a Duke, Toro, and Legacy varieties to plant in the next couple weeks, you are lovely lady too!
