There are some actors who gets roles that dont even read the source material (no offense to those actors though but I find it kinda disrespectful to some degree.) I didn't know Charlie before rings of power. I love the way he studied everything tolkien related and i really admired the way he protrayed the character and generally he seems to have an interesting personality !♥
