I was doing your practice naming - "what I love" (for 3 mins everyday x 30 days) it not only allowed me to quit my job but also helped me to learn to stand up for myself and not do things for "society's approval". Ever since I started watching your videos, my life has changed. I'm forever grateful to your wisdom and your videos!! You're a gift to the world 💜✨ I can't thank you enough, Sonia!! 🙏 You're my favorite spiritual teacher and I admire you so much!! Sending you lots of love, happiness and gratitude. 💜💜

Well said !!! I've decided that after 58 years, being a bright, beaming light is good enough for me.

Fantastic explanation. I've asked myself everyday of my life what is my purpose and have always felt less than because I haven't done "big" things/accomplishments in life. This has been a relief, to know it's just the ego wanting recognition, wanting to feel special. Thank you so much for this.

Thank you so much!! YES!!! We have been trained to live from ego, be hyper- doers, live an intense dopamine addicted life. Our soul simply craves giving and receiving love, daily uplifting the energy- all done in a normal- basic - sometimes boring way. A great transition into this is fully realizing we are good enough

I am so incredibly happy I found you Sonia! This video comes at the perfect time for me. I have been struggling with the decision to quit my job which I am not very happy with at the moment. I thought the same thing that there is a lesson to be learned there. I have also come to the conclusion that no matter where I go that lesson will follow me. Thank you for making this video. Made my day. Happy Valentine's day beautiful soul! ❤️ 😘

Thank you Sonia! And thank you too Maria for your comment! ❤ That totally resonates with my current situation. I have been lingering in an environment I don't feel right since i think there are lessons to learn. During one meditation my spiritual master in my visualization said : You will have your lessons wherever you go, as long as you need them. Your comment reminds me of that and really supports me with a kind push. All the love and blessings for us all.🫶🏻

I have a job that I dislike deeply. This workplace where I am now is worst ever. But, I resigned and am going to the new job soon. Anyway, I have suceeded to help some people here because of my job. I do not know yet how I succeeded really, but in the best case, I helped them (by telling some facts about the laws and giving advice) to keep their livelihood, homes and lands and even the local forest, because they own it. One landowner wrote me, that she appreciates a lot what I’ve done for them and it has been greatly helpful. Yes, I want to tell this because I was so happy about this case in the middle of this darkness that I am experiencing.
Well, I really thought that maybe that was the reason why I came here. Now I am ready to go and start the new - and I have a great feeling about it! Even I did not change my occupation, I have a gut that I’m going to like it. I also must move to another city!

Recently Ive had a strong desire for making music (been learning the guitar) - and loving it :) However, all my Life I've found freedom creating ART (I've even made cash from it ) Lol Which do I put more of my attention on - because I have a passion for both equally..??!

Love love love how my purpose does not have to be so 'grand' as I thought... that it does not have to be a profession because I never had the financial stability to just be an artist which I love ...(...wish I had seen this when I was doing all of those jobs in search of purpose . ). Thank you... at least in this second part of my life... I can just get excited about focusing on being the best version of myself and focus on little things that make a big difference... a smile, a service, being creative and sharing it ... doing what I love and doing as often as I can.. Loving to do something in a big way... that is it! It will lead the way to my purpose.

Great video Sonia. Thank you. It helped me clarify that my current job teaches me a lesson (to become more disciplined, deliberate, and faster in using my existing talents) and not fulfill my purpose. Now I can finally make peace with bureaucracy and the demanding and controlling boss who only cares about fast execution and authority but not whether there is a better strategy to do the job. Because of such a hierarchical work environment, I wanted to quit a job long ago. But something in me just said "stay" although I knew it was not my ego since I knew I could easily find another job. Luckily, my contract finishes soon, and I can go in peace and not resentment because I have already embodied the lesson. Thank you Sonia, for this great gift.

Thank you for your video. I struggle with the job aspect of this. After 30+ years I was sent packing in a reorg and the past three years have been a real challenge. If I was 20 years younger there’d be lots of opportunity. Unfortunately, the proverbial “other door” hasn’t opened after the last door closed. And I don’t even know where to begin with joy and happiness - and then that fills me with shame because I “should” feel grateful and happy yet I don’t know how to actually do that and believe it. I guess I have lots of lessons to learn here. Be well!

Hi Sonia, that was amazing! It was like you were talking to me. I’ve always thought I had to have this giant purpose which sounds so overwhelming that I would never start doing anything. And then I have so many ideas and I put them all down thinking no that’s not the right path no that’s not the right path and I’ve also been miserable in my job! I’m going to start looking at it as what kind of lessons can I learn here. I’m going to listen to this one over again and I’m going to subscribe to your podcasts. You were recommended to me by Dr Taggy.

The reason why life's purpose tends to be tied to career is because we tend to spend most of our waking hours in a career. So I do think it's important to find something you're passionate about or at least you don't mind doing. If we strongly dislike our jobs I think we should look for something else.
