Why I don’t believe in diets or scales!

    Charlie, what sensible advice, I do wish people could understand and take heed! And I agree with absolutely everything you’ve said. I’m old enough to be your mother and my peers often say oh you’re so lucky to be slim, fit and younger looking. Well it not purely luck, we work at it don’t we? But we can still eat some pizza or chocolate cake or a glass of bubbly, we just make up for it next day. I never weigh myself either, I can tell by my clothes if I’ve got an extra pound or 2. But for me personally I tend to not eat between 7 pm and 11 or midday the next day. Keep on being yourself Charlie, sensible but probably full of fun. Lucky family !❤

      Any tips for post menopause…how to shift weight..? Mine won’t shift..like Charlie it’s all home cooked meals ..any tips ? You could share ?

    Thank you, that was really helpful. You’ve given me that nudge to start eating healthily again. I think the last couple of years have played havoc with my eating and exercise. I have a form of arthritis so can’t do high impact exercises but I can do gentle Pilates type movements and I feel so much better when I do move. It’s amazing how one person ( yourself ) can motivate someone to improve what and how they eat. And you have motivated me! Eat better quality foods and move more. I really hope your channel takes off as it is brill!

    Thank you Charlie. Having been on every diet under the sun and was going to start yet another one next week, you’ve given me a new mindset so I’m going to try good old-fashioned healthy eating and exercise! It’s not rocket science!

      It is working! I don’t snack but eat 3 good meals a day

    You are an inspiring woman on so many topics. You’re right, it’s not what people want to hear. It’s the boring everyday simple healthy choices that make a big difference and not some sexy diet for 2 weeks.. it’s my health philosophy too. Thank you for spreading the sensible message.

    Hi Charlie,
    I'm new to your channel . Came across it as I'm lying in bed with Covid...day 3 and throwing it off already!!
    Love this video as my attitude to food aligns very much with yours and my partner's is like Simon's 😂 We love to home cooking meals from scratch and with fresh ingredients. I also have skinny legs and arms live pasta and I do eat a pudding every day!!! Like you, I walk lots, worry more than I need to(not so good) and I find it hard enough to keep on weight at times of stress. While I do not recommend worrying, the walking, chores and workouts are spot on for feeling body positive and maintaining a stable weight. At 64 I look much younger and am as fit as a flea! So super advice.
    Ps my chocolate cravings diminishing after menopause...I alway felt it was hormonal. 😊
