Soundtrack from the video game Escape from Monkey Island. Music composed by Michael Land. Performed by Espen Wensaas on duet Maccann concertina. Recorded in Knapstad on the 4th of November 2024.
Wonderful, and a great example of one of the things that makes concertinas so great and unique - can really hear the pitch variations with bellows pressure, which helps make the sound exciting and interesting. If you don't mind answering - was the audio we hear recorded with the video that is seen, or was it separately done and then matched with the performance?
@@marakima I concur with that. The concertina is indeed a wonderful instrument. The audio and video is synced in post production. I use a decent camera for the video and simultaneously record the audio with a handheld Zoom H4n. Syncing the two later on is easy and gives me both good video quality and a decent sound quality on my videos.
@@johntolhurst5950 thanks John! I transcribed it myself. It’s in the key of A minor. And I dampen the bass by putting some masking tape on the inside of the lid. Not covered completely but enough to lower the volume on the bass side a bit
Bravo! Beautiful as always.

Wonderful playing! Where can I find the music, and how do you manage to dampen the bass on your Maccann?
John Tolhurst.
