Yep when there is only 2 kids the sadness is more clear because you can see it right away that the parents doting on other sibling more. But if william like myself in my childhood(Like kids who love and care at their younger sibling alot lol.)i think he doesnt feel any hatred towards his brother, he just want to be treated and get lot attention. And i think in his age stage its pretty normal.

this is the problem with most of parents. they think that the oldest doesn't need that much attention since they can handle themselves and they should look out for the youngest as they are still young but they forget that the oldest especially if they are still a baby also needs attention and care. i know sam did not intentionally neglect william. but i hope he'll start to give equal attention to his kids.
Avery Murphy I know how you feel, growing up I always saw my brother 1 (3yrs younger) and brother 2 (10yrs younger) always get spoilt or treated a lot better then I was. To the point where at 12 I fully knew how to change my brother’s diapers.

Because of this matter I got depression and anxiety and can’t even easily trust people anymore. It’s really a sad thing .. I wished I had got some more love from her, but here I am lonely and regretting with overthinking thoughts everyday.
i think it's a bit unfair to assume Sam doesn't give equal time to his kids, but even if it's perfectly 50-50, to go from getting 100% of your parent's attention to getting only 50% is going to feel like a big change and a shock to the older sibling. I honestly don't know if there is any way around that.
I did feel this way when seeing song ilkook treat daehan as older brother for his two siblings. When hes only born 3 minutes earlier than the others. Hes a baby too, why put such a big burden for him.
Fortunately he grown as a reliable big bro for others and learn to express himself better to his parents.

I think its natural for parents to always give older siblings big responsibilities that they dont realize they should all be treated the same, watching tros made us realize things like this thanks tros 🙏 i miss the triplets though 🤣
And Daehan really becomes their oldest hyung but he's so silent in his feelings, Manse and Minguk always over shadowed him but he's really tough that he didn't ever showed that feeling (but as a viewer i really felt that there's really an unfair things between Daehan vs Minguk and Manse) and the scenario repeated in William and Ben, there's really a time that William becomes over acting because he knows/he felt that Bentley sometimes getting more an affections and the spot light, that's why being the oldest sucks 😣
i didn't see sam neglecting william, sam has been doing good job nurturing and taking care of both william n ben based on their need. but i guess william felt pressure because after ben, he's been given plenty of role and responsibility. like he said "he's still a baby".
we don't see what happens in their life 24/7. Maybe off camera the mom pays more attention to william and Sam pays attention to bentley?

So damn true! I’ve noticed that too. Unlike many Korean parents (old school/conservative ones) that expect their oldest child to be the mature/responsible one, Sam always went above and beyond to make sure that William also gets all the attention he needs/feels loved and communicated with him even when Sam was feeding Bentley!! Sam is definitely doing a great job as a father but like some people commented, it’s natural for the oldest child/older children to feel jealous of their younger siblings... the same thing happened to me when my lil bro was born especially cuz I was the youngest child for 3 years until my lil bro was born lol 😂 He was the most precious baby ever, so I always took really good care of him (until I hit puberty 😂) and cherished more than anyone but at the same time, apparently I showed signs of jealousy and started to be more needy/mean to my mom EVEN THOUGH both my parents gave way more attention to me because I was the only girl (i have two brothers). 😂 But in the end, I realized that my parents loved all three of us equally - William will eventually learn that too. Sam just needs to keep reassuring/reminding William that he loves both of them equally! Sam, you’re doing a great job so hang in there! 아빠로서 정말 잘하고 계시니까 힘내세요! 화이팅!! :)

It's not uncommon for older siblings to feel this way. Siha felt the same way but kept it inside until Taegyu turned into the miniature version where Siha explained and expressed his feelings. You could tell Sam was affected by William's words and as a parent you don't really think about these things, that's why it's important to make sure your child talks to you openly and honestly without fear of punishment. William is a bright, clever and mature kid for his age but he is still just a baby that needs reminding that he is loved and cherished. William is a special kid he is going to grow up and be understanding and helpful because of amazing parents. I hope Sam knows he's doing a good job and just needs to make sure that William doesn't stay silent about what he's feeling.

TBH from what I see from the show, Sam actually paid a little more attention towards William compared to Bentley. It just William is still young, he couldn't see that way, he just don't understand yet that his parents are trying to be fair. All he can see is his parents spend less time for him than before the baby come. So, please parents out there including Sam, don't feel bad about your parenting skills especially if you're already as good as Sam is. Maybe if you're planning to have additional children just wait for several more years.
Indeed. I also think that Sam seems to be giving more attention to William as compared to Bentley based on the show. It is not a negative thing actually, that was a common to certain parents as they might feels that the first born is their first-everything so that was understandable. So maybe this video cut is just William being a baby and at the same time a big brother to a baby younger sibling 😂
What we see on this show is fromthe camara that show we just what they want we to see. It just a part of day. We aren't live with them all the time.We can see it from willam's answer he loves mom more how can youlove someone didn't stay or take care of you ¿it show that we missing lot of part.So l think we can wait him to understand is ture but he can't wait us to understand him.Cause he also baby.and we love him.So don't ignore the feeling of the other especially who you love.This case is member of your FAMILY.THUS again plase do not ignore the feeling of who you love eventhrough he just youg.Don't wait him to understand not only just he also baby but he also have heart and his heart can get hurt like us.

Maybe Sam can have a date with just William or just with Bentley once in a while. I know the Hwijae twins have tried it before. It would be a good idea for parents out there with multiple children too.

It was so heartbreaking when william said about that..but honestly from what i saw in previous epsdes sam also gave much attention for william such as he gave william the food frst bfre ben..i think maybe william just felt like that coz bfre this his parents just gave the whole attention to him but aftr they have ben he felt like he need to compete to his bro in order to get the attention. As an older sibling i relate. The oldest has to be more mature and care for the younger ones. Sometimes we dont get alot of attention but we have to be okay with that. But sometimes we wish our parents can see that we need some love too.
i think the problem is that bentley was born when william is still pretty much a baby too. even though he’s already two years old, he still craves attention from his parents as he’s growing up. it’s common for children to feel neglected once they have to share their parents with another baby.
this happened a lot in the lee family too, when sian was baby, donggook usually looked out more for seola and sua, giving them more attention. now, since seola and sua are older, sian is getting the most attention from his father (there are even episodes where the twins don’t show up at all).
I cried so hard because of this 😭😭
This show is so awesome and I think, really helpful and encouraging to other fathers watching. It's prolly enlightening to them to see other fathers, 'famous' or not, go thru the same things they go through. Talk about painful, and powerful. It allowed William to express his feelings and Sam to hear from his son what he was feeling.

The struggle because their age differences is so tight. Like me and my lil bro, we just 1 year apart like ben and william. He was born 2 months after my first birthday, and since he the only son (i have older sister) everyone so happy and hyped up and he got all their attention. But i dont even remember my 2 years taught. Maybe im not as mature as william. Sometimes, i forgot that william is still a baby with diaper since he never complained about his dad hugging ben all the time and always do whatever sam order him to do. But after all he just 2years old baby, he needs more attention. Sam loves them both equally, for sure but i think its because their age gap, so sam cant just focus on one of them. He always talked to william so i never taught william will feel this way. My eyes tearing.

Bruh I relate to william!! I used to hate my sister because mom always told me to do everything by myself and be responsible because I now have a lil sister. I think this is parents mistake in perceiving siblings cos seems like it’s not just me. U know what, i always being left out since im middle child and my younger brother was born 2 months after my first birthday and because he is the only son in the family he got all the attention. Even now, he still act like a baby in front of me and my older sister. My mom always said that my sister is mature, so caring about herself and many prises. And always said i was so immature, and many more. She was always gave me too much work while my siblings just chill especially my brother. But i never blamed her. Because one day i was read my mom text to my dad (which always on my side) that she really proud of my grade, that im so responsible, the only child that so obedient and never yelling, never said no, always said yes to whatever my parents order to me. She said, if one day they will get divorce my dad should take me because im the only one that can take care of my cold dad. But luckily it didnt happened and i hope it'll never happen. So. The point is, ur mom trust u for being the oldest that u mature, responsible, reliable so thats the reasons why she being like that.

But probably William was just being jealous because his playtime with his dad has been decreased since Bentley born and that was just normal. A first-born child will feel that way. William, cheer up! I hated babies and kids when my younger brother was born, wanted the same attention and loves as he got without understanding that he just needed more care. My mum says I even declared that I didn't want any children when I got older. 😂
