Delta del Po

Il Parco del Delta del Po della Regione Emilia Romagna sorge su un'area con caratteristiche ambientali ed ecologiche uniche. Si estende, infatti, su una superficie di oltre 54000 ettari, abbracciando ambienti ricchi di biodiversità, dalle aree umide alle pinete e ai boschi, dalle acque salmastre alle acque dolci.
Nel territorio sono presenti 10 Zone Umide di importanza internazionale (Convenzione Ramsar 1971) 22 Zone Speciali di Conservazione (ZSC) e 20 Zone di Protezione Speciale (ZPS) per la conservazione degli uccelli.
Questa ricchezza ambientale si riflette anche nelle numerose specie animali e vegetali identificate all'interno del Parco: 350 specie di uccelli, 60 specie di pesci, 14 specie di anfibi, 16 specie di rettili, 61 specie di mammiferi e più di 1000 specie vegetali.
Tali pregi naturalistici accanto alle testimonianze d'arte e di cultura e alle tradizioni storiche rappresentano lo stretto rapporto fra Uomo e Natura riconosciuto come Riserva Biosfera MaB UNESCO.
L'insieme territoriale costituito dalla Città di Ferrara, le Delizie Estensi e il versante ferrarese del Delta del Po è stato inoltre dichiarato "Patrimonio dell'umanità" analogamente al riconoscimento assegnato alla Città di Ravenna, per i suoi "Monumenti paleocristiani": il Parco del Delta rappresenta dunque uno scrigno di natura, di storia e di cultura.
The Po Delta Park of the Emilia Romagna Region is located in an area with unique environmental and ecological characteristics. In fact, it extends over an area of ​​over 54,000 hectares, embracing environments rich in biodiversity, from humid areas to pine forests and woods, from brackish waters to fresh waters.
In the territory there are 10 Wetlands of international importance (Ramsar Convention 1971), 22 Special Conservation Areas (SAC) and 20 Special Protection Areas (SPAs) for the conservation of birds.
This environmental richness is also reflected in the numerous animal and plant species identified within the Park: 350 species of birds, 60 species of fish, 14 species of amphibians, 16 species of reptiles, 61 species of mammals and more than 1000 plant species.
These naturalistic qualities, alongside the testimonies of art and culture and historical traditions, represent the close relationship between Man and Nature recognized as a UNESCO MaB Biosphere Reserve.
The territorial ensemble consisting of the City of Ferrara, the Delizie Estensi and the Ferrara side of the Po Delta has also been declared a "World Heritage Site" similarly to the recognition assigned to the City of Ravenna, for its "Early Christian Monuments": the Park The Delta therefore represents a treasure chest of nature, history and culture.
