Gr8 movie! regarding my last post, actually this is a beautiful film but I guess I viewed her as stalking him the 2nd time watching it b/c here in American cities we always have 2 hav our guards up. As a child living in the country on the islands w/ my gr8 aunt (chinese side of my fam), my mind set & our enviroment was still pure & unaware of such dangers. Those days r 4ever gone xcept in rely remote parts. Reflecting bac helped me 2 again c the innocence & beauty in this film & my own childhood
that's because that's not stalking and all of the stalking is very exagerated and limits a lot of people to a point that they can no longer love anyone at all just because they are afraid. That's why western countries are not all sunshine and rainbows. Many people have never felt love in their entire life. Even a slightest of hopes that come to their lives mess so hard with their mind that they go to extremes to try and hold on to it. It does happen all the time.
@tangjkd stalking is all about intentions, good or bad. now people think it's bad because people have gotten hurt of killed. I like how people fall in love in the old days. it's so sweet and innocent. and women were more respectable, not a lot of slam bam thank you ma'am going on. people were more honest too. when they say they're in love, they mean it. nowadays, there's a lot of lying and cheating. arrange marriages were more common in the orient though.
Tons of lying and cheating happening these days. With women's liberation and freedom came the exodus of the average man. Now women don't mind getting pumped and dumped as long as the guy is hot. It's the way it's always been in nature.
i just noticed some things..most parts of this movie actually picture the long road where the characters are walking. another thing is that when the flashback scenes are shown the picture is colored while when the old Di and her son is on the picture, the color is black and white..hmmm does anyone know the meaning under these? ^^ btw thanks for the movie!!
oh i wish they get a more good looking guy on this movie...i only watch this movie because of zhang ziyi and it was really cute and beautiful..keep me on my seat
I see you posted this 12 years ago. How nice! I just watched it yesterday and was enthralled by the movie. The scenery was breathtaking, with all the colors of the trees in the background. Tonight at dinner, I was telling my Chinese wife about the movie, no violence, no sex, just a wonderful, compelling story. As for you, has your life changed a lot during the past 12 years? I hope it's been a wonderful one. Have you watched other movies directed by this director? I watched "Not One Less" a few years ago and enjoyed it, also. The best to you. Oh, yes, I feel the young man is very handsome, certainly enough to portray a school teacher in a remote area of China.
daaahm! she was str8 STALKING him. the muzik falsely made the scene look ok, but w/ it, she looked mighty weird, almost sick-like. when love turns into obsession, it not a healthy relationship. obsession can turn into murder, my granny always taught us.
Pero que 'graciosa 'habia sido está muchachita...que ya de pronto se empezó a interesar por las actividades laborales y escolares del Maestro de esa Aldea remota. Y justo cuando por 'distraccion o intencion' olvida su sesto, la 'picara caminadita' de la inocente joven me causa muchísima gracias. Esta 'gran actriz' que encarna justo a este personaje se ganaría todos los Aplausos y Premios de la Academia de Cine sin duda.Mis más sinceros Respetos y Admiración a su magnífica performance !!! Adorable !!
