Bai is critical in this drama - opening up the link to the past activities and truth, discovering/mastering and teaching Wen of Six Compromises Cure, saving/restoring Chou’s life via Wen, keeping his promise to his soulmate of destroying Ghost Valley once it re-opened, honoring his promise in destroying Ghost Valley via Wen/Scorpion battles, touching heart-felt loneliness/emptiness of his soulmate, and giving up his eternal life after he fulfilled his promises to his soulmate. Everyone has a role in his life and keep moving on without regrets 🙏😇
one of my favs characters, very enjoyable and hilarious, the bickering between him and WKX is way too funny 😁 great choosing for the actor.. this is the best cast😍
Watch love and redemption if you want to see ye bai yi( I don't know the actor name) as villian. I love his acting in that drama. He acted as Wu tong in that series

My understanding is Bai never disclosed his feelings to Rong Chenqing (RCQ). Somehow RCQ got married with a son and moved next to Bai as neighbor. Bai adopted the boy as his disciple. RCQ was injured near death and his wife begged Bai to save him. Since Bai was willing to give up his own life for saving RCQ, they (requiring two people practicing) invented/mastered Six Compromises Cure. RCQ (with eternity) then created Ghost Valley saving lives by providing a second chance to those that were abandoned/lost. RCQ died in his 40s with natural death (no details mentioned). Since then Bai lost his soulmate living in loneliness/emptiness. Bai honored his promise to destroy Ghost Valley if it was re-opened. Wen revenged/destroyed Ghost Valley so Bai rescued Wen by transferring Wen his energy/power of Six Compromises cure saving Chou. Bai understands that Wen/Chou have company in eternity. No details mentioned about the ending of Bai in the drama.
