I've been playing more of the no mind spike build and honestly I'm liking it more and more, I think it's pretty good especially because I've been playing with classes that are very front loaded in their damage!
Mass Dispel is INCREDIBLY good for the dragons after the frog boss, a complete must in the dungeon. also useful on the first boss
The first fortified week of the 10.1 mythic plus season is feeling pretty good so far!

I've seen twicks do this too when u are on cds in m+ I see you guys overcap on mindspike:insanity procs and use another devouring plague even if u have 2 mindspike procs already, when is this ok to do?
if you would overcap on resources if you use the MSI or if DP is falling off. sometimes during cds especially lust you generate a lot of resource that its okay to overwrite occasionally

Hi Tempr. Great videos! In my opinion, there is no good beginner guides for shadow priest. You said in your discord you will upload a guide in a few days. That will help a lot people like me who never played SP. but this content doing higher keys are awesome to master the spec.
Only one question. What macro are you using to use the wing speed on you without putting the wing in the floor and walking through it?

thank you! and the macro is an @player macro so that whenever I cast it it just instantly just puts it on me

Tempr, I recently imported the setup you suggest in your Guide video. However the UI that is in that has a different Weak Auras set up. I really like the way that you have your set up for your dot tracking. Is there an updated WeakAura import anywhere or is it custom?

The mass dispelling you takling about in the description, is player debuff, not mobs buff? Weird i dont see them in my party frames :/
yeah its the Power Overload debuff on the first boss, and then the dragons after the frog boss put a nasty dot on everyone that can be mass dispelled, both debuffs on the players

What weakaura set are you using to track cd on dots? Also is that a costum plater profile? If you are able could you provide those?

Possible the mind flay build overtakes the mind spike with higher levels of haste? Factoring in the points you get to distribute better when not taking mind spike. Also when I’m rolling I rarely actually cast mindspike
I'm not too sure, all sims say that the mind spike build is better than the mind flay one even in aoe so we will see how it develops later in the season but the mind flay build feels pretty good. regardless I dont think either build will completely change your dps

I think shadow is better than both ele and devastation but those are both good too. devastation is really slept on right now in my opinion, shadow priest and devoker have really good synergy together since devoker gets so much benefit from PI. they all just have different strengths/weaknesses in general though out of those 3 shadow is the strongest
What do you think the advantages to the mind flay build are as opposed to the spike build?
the mind spike build usually runs ancient madness so its burst damage is higher, along with it being a slight single target dps increase. mind flay build has stronger sustained damage but weaker burst
@@TemprTV I'm running the mind flay build since season 2 started, honestly I'm a shadow lover since 2005 and I can't play without a channelled spell in my toolkit, I'm too used to it... and not a big fan of mind spike too, it was good as an istant cast to throw while moving, but I don't love it as a casted spell, even if it has nice damage.
Plus, I like the fact that the MF:I build can run 2/2 dark evangelism AND void touched. Honestly the sustained you gain from having stronger dots is noticeable in m+ dungeons. +16,6% devouring plague damage (compared with the mind spike build) is pretty huge.
ive got both viklund and atrocity ui, and i was wondering how you managed to get the resource bar to be right on top of the wa icons. whenever i try to do that, it automatically puts a gap between the two.
if you type in "resource bar" in the weakaura addon you can move the individual weakaura and thats what I did

the nameplates & dot timers are from viklunds sub pack, and then the regular WA is a slightly edited version of atrocity's ui
How do you make the healthbars be above each other instead of stacking?
through plater its a setting called "stacking nameplates" the addon refers to them as "overlapping" with the way you're describing it if that makes sense

Lmao , they really aren't. This early in the season it all depends on who has the best tier combination. Ret paladins are absolutely busted, outlaw is doing ridiculous numbers as well. Same with boomy with the new tier. He's not playing mindspike so he has 4p already.
shadow is very strong in keys but like Nessevi said, the meta doesnt really develop until everyone is fully geared with bis trinkets + tier set so we will see how strong everything actually is when that comes together
