Put lots of underground copper pipe in, and the gas powered Partner saw was what we used to cut everything. From tree limbs to concrete pipe, from scoring granite curb to sharpening pencils. Copper, no problem 😁

Pro tip : tape a smaller diameter pipe to a shop vac and run it through your fitting and avoid cold shocking your solder which could potentially crack it. Other than that, good job. Never heard of water vapour electric fire place either. Looks really cool.

I applaud you for sweating that connection! So many plumbers, HVAC technicians today don't know how to use flux, solder and a torch they only use pro press that I believe will eventually fail and leak when the little O Ring deteriorates. , I had a company in my home servicing my boiler they refused to solder the new fittings, when I asked why? That's fire. No pun intended
Gotta sympathize with the building super. Those old buildings must have a lot of stuff hidden behind the walls and ceilings - undocumented.
I also feel bad when interrupt someone’s bacon egg and cheese. It’s a sacred moment.
😂😂
We install these silly fireplaces in southern Ontario, Canada. They’re massively expensive. And ya, I find them silly. But bossman really likes them.
Damm I have one of those electric ones because my GF loves it. But I think I might be getting one of these.
It definitely nice but a little pricey
My jaw literally dropped at how good that fireplace looks. WOW. If only I could afford it.
