I bought this on Steam and ended up returning it. Watching your videos are really making me consider rebuying it. I probably should have given it more time.
Looks like an interesting foundation for a Star Trek 4X, I might dip my toes into it if they let you play as the Breen eventually. I really like the idea of the galaxy being built out of the Star Trek canon as opposed what you have in Galactic Civilizations, but I'm not so keen on it being based around just 4 factions right now. Hopefully they get enough traction to build on it from here. Thanks for making me aware of this Heir, had no idea it was released at all.
you also need to make sure u immediately start diplomacy with minor factions. u can hold them off from joining up with other factions. or break their alliances. especially the federation. and then eventually assimilate them. plus they will help you defend. this will get u the 12 to win. it's slow but works.
Getting energy production up is more difficult than in the Stellaris game. No matter who I play in either game, I always focus on scientific research and getting resource production up as much as possible.
Thank you! :D As you say early in the video, there are just no vids really about this game other than a little handfull. I'd love a klingon guide if you have the time/would want to.
Why was I expecting this video to shrouded in secrecy to anyone who has not played as the Romulans? In Stellaris the ship classes are: Frigate Destroyer Cruiser Battleship Titan You can think of the ship classes in this Trek game as following something similar I imagine. I have not played it yet (waiting for the console version). Judging from the section pop workforce it does look the same as stellaris where it is divided into ruler jobs, specialists, and labour jobs. They can be filled by any species if they have the correct citizenship rights, that could be found in a species view. After a lengthy war, you might want to punish the conquered by making them "Prisoners with Jobs" or reward their valour by making them residents.
I'm playing the Romulans as one of my current campaigns. I've got by butt kicked by the Klingons once. I lost because I was taking on both the Klingons and Cardassians at the same time. Maybe I need to make alliance with the Federation next time.
There was a power bug with the Romulans that’s been addressed by a recent patch but i found in an existing game i had to reset the ship designs to get it to work.
I have a question, in dealing with the destruction of Romulus what did you do to get the empire back on it's feet. I tried to divert considerable resources to a new world to offset it's destruction but It looks impossible. Recommedations?
Yea ill just buy stellaris and get the mods going. Its like they are doing the Total War Sagas but in space, for money. Paradox is taking one from the playbook of Creative Assembly it feels like. Game looks nice but this deserved way more attention and mechanical overhaul to allow that 30 buck pricecard.
the shipdesigns are named in the ordners so corvet (the starting ones) then destroyers then crusers and battleship (dderidex and the x slot) sadly if you yous the console for research_technology tech_battleship (witch is dderidex) as an example dosnet work the comands are like the stellaris ones or some but i didnt find eny wiki for infinit i only found the standart console comands and the ones for resources and planet types yousing stelaris wiki and ID but not all are the same and some id stuff isnt in infinite also some resoursesmay in the game but are named difernet example is the engineering society and physic research types and research in infinite also the special resourses are adable but you cnad add them to planets i found the ordner for teh planets and techonlogy and for teh shiptypes aka corvet destroyer cruser battleship they made an techlock ore somekind of techlock where you need sertan tech to advance but the rng is sometimes realy bad
Let me know if you want me to look into the Kilingons and Cardassians.
Yeah, let's set what this game has to offer.
Please do.
For Cardassia!
Empower Section 31 and do a dark Federation Gameplay!!!
Yes please 🎉🎉

It certainly isn't an action game. Took some patience for me. You could always wait for updates and a sale if you decided to try it again.

I'd watch Klingon and Cardassians vids, sure !

Agreed

Yea this game isn't getting much attention video wise. I enjoy it a lot and love TNG. So I like putting time into it.

if u want a certain tech your researchers have traits. have one with a trait for the tech u want it will pop up faster.
Oh yeah definitely do a Klingon based one please 🤞🤞

Your awesome dude

Wait so this isn’t a stellaris mod? It looks exactly like stellaris
how have you kept the Romulan Star from exploding?
I didn't. It blew up. I just rebuilt the Starbase after.

The auto ship designs are not good. Exchange a few huls for shields and you ships survive much easier.
We’ve lost a great military mind.
Play Cardassia the true power in the galaxy.
*Star Trek: Total War*
Ground combat could be better.
Did someone say Romulan ?!?!
😀
They're marketing this as a NEW GAME and charging you 29.99 for a Stellaris reskin mod??? LMAO WTF.
Yeah I was so confused aswell haha
Wait huh isnt this just Stellaris?
it is, but reworked and getting updates from the dev
Looks mind blowingly boring
