I changed my mind last minute! Gastric surgery operation storytime

Hi lovelies!
This video is a storytime about my surgery day and what exactly happened that day.
I was meant to be having a gastric bypass, but everything changed once I got to the hospital.
I usually never change things on a whim, especially not big decisions like this, but I'm ultimately glad I did! :)

I’m having second thoughts about my choice. My surgery date is 6/15/21. I wanted to choose the bypass but everyone was telling me to get the sleeve and so I did but I’m going to call the office and tell them I changed my mind and want the gastric bypass.

What the f surgeon doesn't discuss this decision with you way before surgery? I guess because the diabetes... but gastric is more extreme. Totally unfair of all parties involved to not have consensus with you prior to you going in the OR.

Yeah it was a stressful day. Everything happened super fast and I think they were a little all over the place due to Covid if I’m honest. Turned out fine in the end though :)

"Tuna mouse"??? 🤔

It’s basically made out of
1 400g/14 oz. can tuna in brine
200 grams fromage frais (about ½ cup)
The juice of half a lime
1 bunch chives, chopped
1 egg yolk
Salt
Pepper
Paprika (optional)
It’s legit been my saving grace :D I love it so much
