I'm from Argentina, and some time ago I decided to go back to photography and to encourage myself I bought a voigtlander vito csr. That way I have to really put into practice everything I learn in each photography. Thanks to your video, i could understand how the camera works (not common around here)
I've just bidded on one of these, and I'm pretty new to film, as I haven't shot film in years, and forgot everything. This video is very useful thank you.
Great video, love the vito range. Got a Vito B (no meter), cased and with the clip on hood and the cold shoe rangefinder both in leather cases attached to the camera strap. The color skopar is a much underestimated lens. Solidly built cameras.
I have one of these...sadly the metre doesn't seem to want to work... thankfully I have a hand held one I can use.... Will be putting a film through it soon :)
Hi, sorry to hear that, did you remove to top cover and clean the inside? could be the rangefinder patch is dim due to losing the mirror coating, could replace but tricky...
Thx for video! i have a voigtlander vito automatic with no needle and cant see any speed nr as your up to 500. I see just iso and 2,8 - 22. Do you now how to now what speed is chosen?
Hi, the shutter speed depends on the film sensitivity set via the ASA/ISO dial, the idea was to set the film speed then adjust the aperture until the green rather than red dot appears in the viewfinder, the meter uses a selenium cell and may either be not working or inaccurate, of course it may work just fine if your lucky, interesting camera but no direct shutter speed selection dial....
Awesome video! I have a question about your flash gun.. do you need it to activate the flash on the camera? I am new to vintage cameras and am unsure how the flash works without batteries.. thank you!
Hi and thanks for your kind words, the flashgun contains the batteries, this is true whether using a more modern electronic flashgun or the older style bulb type, these have largely been superseded as a new bulb was need for each shot, they are not available new any more so stick to the modern type, the camera only features a switch built into the shutter that fires the flashgun via a cable, some flashguns do not have cables and rely on "hot shoe" connection, this camera features a "cold shoe" , one with no electrical connection,, hope this rather lengthy explanation helps, please feel free to come back to me anytime 😁
@@jesjamcoop Hi, the cable is universal, the connection is named PC, not to be confused with computers, the type of flashgun you are looking for will most likely have it attached, studio flashes, the ones on stands that are not as portable have the same connection and a cable connects from the camera to the flash unit....
Hi! great video!! I have a question because im new in the world analogic. How can i remove the film? because i didnt see any lever or something like that for remove the film. Thanks!
Hi, it is hidden on the top of the camera, on the left hand side when looking with lens forward, it's a push release and the rewind knob should pop up, hope this helps and you got some great pictures... Hi, yup eBay has a lot to answer for, they are nice cameras, I think there is a look at a Vitoret coming shortly, been playing with one over the last couple of weeks, good choice....
I have the Voigtländer Vito CL (first edition) but unfortunately the shutter doesn't do anything, everything works unless the shutter actually taking a photo. Has anybody an idea how I can fix this issue?

Great video 👍 Just bought a Vitoret, so a cheaper version of yours, and looking forward to testing it (bloody eBay 😂😂😂)

hi ! i found a vito clr and i have a question, what film can we use ? Thanks for the video, it's help me a lot !
Any 35mm film
Well, the flash gun flashed, but that doesn't necessarily mean it was synchronised with the shutter.
Hi, absolutely correct, will address your issue in future films, thanks
How can you set the ISO or is there just one kind of film that fits?
He shows it in the film, there is a asa meter you can change, its quite close to iso
Should it be set at 36 as it winds down?
Hi, the film counter counts down so yes, set it to the number of exposures of the film, 36,24,20,12 etc....
I have the Voigtländer Vito CL (first edition) but unfortunately the shutter doesn't do anything, everything works unless the shutter actually taking a photo. Has anybody an idea how I can fix this issue?
I had a CL in 2012. And as I watch this, I'm bidding on eBay for the same.... wish me luck.
Hello! How's the viewfinder?
Rip fuji c200 :(
