Nice to see someone else using Directions. They're not as well known as other brands, but they should be in my opinion. They're so unbelievably affordable, but that's probably why people don't try it, maybe they assume it's cheap? Anyhow it's like half the price of other big brands but is just as vibrant, I've been able to maintain the green for literally 2 years, they seem to last forever. Today I'm going to be switching to pink and mint, so I'm excited to see how long the warm colors stay. I also use stargazer, but they're not as long lasting as directions Edit: People are overly critical in this comment section. Not everyone is perfect at what they do, and you should be trying to help that person improve by giving them light criticism or advice, not putting them down and implying their work is garbage. Also set your standards a little lower, this isn't going to be like one of those perfect, oddly satisfying hair clips on Instagram. Of course those clips are gonna be perfect, they're advertising their talent or service to millions of people, and it costs like upwards of a few hundred dollars man lol
They used to sell them in my town years ago in the 90s, then stopped selling it..now I can only buy them online ...I've also.noticed the texture of the dye is different, and not as concentrated as it used to be, it used to stain like hell !!
It depends on which color you use. Some of the directions dyes are not that pigmented, but I’ve also had enough that are very pigmented. But that goes for all brands (manic panic, crazy colors, arctic fox, lunar tides etc). The only downside is that the bottles are quite small, but it’s completely in comparison with the price
@@bobbieathbb6307 it really is and I have the pink and purple but I’ll have to bleach it first but I’m afraid of the damage to my hair. Do you know of a bleach that is safer than others for your hair thank you so much 😊
i have ombre purple pink hair my mom took me to america's best me my little brother & my mom walked in the store the lady checked our temperature she said have a seat.the lady was gonna help me but the man helped me.he cleaning the purple glasses i picked out the lady liked my ombre purple pink hair body wave she looked around me & said (let me look at your hair cause its cute) i didn't mind.once she said that these 2 women, the employee lady who was helping them they all just stared at my ombre purple pink hair i saw them in the corner of my eye & i said in my head (rude) i told my mom when i got home.
This was super sloppy the sections weren't clean and honestly I bet if this hair was straight you'd see a line the purple wasn't staggered and all came down to the same point
That is NOT it babe!! Just NOT it At ALL! You have to stagger the colors.. that was a sloppy, half assed dye job that I would NOT have paid a dime for! And before anyone asks me... Yess, I have done this Many Many times. Thanks 😊

How do you wash it so the dark doesn't bleed into the pink
i have the same question!
I was thinking pink on top purple on bottom but now I’m not sure this option looks good too
It's so pretty

Do you wash it out when you are done or do you just rinse it?
Rinse with cold water and condition. Cold water helps to lock the colour in!
So helpful, thank you
Glad it was helpful!

I hope she didn't pay for that 😬
Thank you for your input, please upload some pics of your work so I can see how to do it? Assuming you have done this before?
