I don't understand why y'all Nigerians call Benin a "Benin Republic"? Why not Ghana Republic or Togo Republic? Check it out on Google. It's Benin, not Benin Republic. It's funny cuz 99% of African countries are Republic

Why most y'all Nigerians call Benin a Benin Republic? Go check it out on Google. And why not Ghana Republic, Togo Republic, The Gambia Republic, and Zambia Republic? It looks funny because 99% of African countries are Republic. Or is it because u guys have a state called Benin State that's why Nigerians refer Benin as Benin Republic. It's actually Benin but not Benin Republic. U could've said The Republic of Benin and that makes a lot of sense. ...The Republic of Ghana the Republic of Togo, the Republic of Congo, the Democratic Republic of Congo, etc
