Crazy these guys can handle the stress of building a car on short notice, traveling, racing/fixing/racing/fixing/racing, then still put out a video. I'm impressed
they're having a lot of fun for the work they put in. pretty good situation to have your job and hobby be so successful and still enjoyable. These dudes are still young and having the best time imagined. Such a unique experience. They did work for it too, not just "some youtubers" anymore.

@@Devil3R I used to be really good friends with Dusty at MVPmotorsports (if you know you know) down in Texas. I went to TX2K12 and helped them set up and sell merchandise, and I have to say it's a shit load of work pulling off this type of stuff. These events are hectic!
I also used to be a semi-pro skateboarder, so I understand how draining it is to travel from one spot to another day after day. I promise you this is NOT an easy job no matter the money.
Bringing George was the best choice. He’s always so hype and his positive attitude is in another level.

The whole crew deserves a vacation after all of this. It’s insane to me how they are able to do so many events back to back with the grind of repairs in between. Then to throw in filming and editing takes it to another level. I have always respected that Garrett still edits most if not all of his videos. So many people hire it out and lose some of raw feeling of it all. Stay safe, stay hydrated, and bog deep!!

I have to say yesterday was a super cool day. Time was around 10am and was sitting at my desk in Ardmore, ok and I heard a few cars go by, that where WAY louder than what I hear on a daily. I look out my window and I see drag cars pulling trailers, I couldn’t believe my eyes I knew RMRW was going on but had no idea that the path they would take was going to put them in my home town. So, at that point I watched from my office the next few hours hoping to see Leroy and Ruby pass by and I wasn’t disappointed! I saw them both drive by and now I see I missed a chance to go say Hi, Since they stopped and got gas at the gas station right next to my office!!!!

Leroy deserves more than a card board top . Visit a tarp shop and have him measured up for a roof cover , It would be water proof , easy to remove . Could be rolled up for storage . Placed on the ground under Leroy to work on him . And easy to clean .

If Cleetus wanted something classy I'm sure he could find (ask his friends at SXS Blog) someone able to make a custom canvas top for it. At this point I assume he's decided the cardboard roof is a race week tradition and is going to keep it up as long as he's racing Leroy without body panels.
I don't know if he was trolling or not, but cleetus put up a post on Facebook asking for recommendations on who could make Leroy a pro mod body
Or a carbon fiber sheet cut out with hood pins to keep it snug
@@Matty.Hill_87 He's made at least one comment about considering it on TH-cam. Before he got the slipper clutch he said it wasn't worth it because getting a few 10ths to the 8th mile would be easier to get faster times than by doing the same by increasing his speed at the end of the track.

I always love the in car shots of Leroy leaving the line.
We usually weld the exhaust pipes up to the turbo with purging gas. It makes a whole lot of difference when we`re talking those kinds of temperature swings and peak pressures. I know its a McFarland Fab deal but anywho :)

I was wondering if Cleetus would ever visit the Motorplex in Ennis. The track is as sticky as they come. Superb track prep. If he had a chance to set a record, this is the track. I've blown up more than one vette diff at that track. That's the downside; like you guys ran into, you usually have a lot of blown up diffs and axles that stop the races because of it.

Yeah they are used to bmp too which is sticky as hell so thats why they are spinning on most tracks

I seriously would be getting another master power switch or ignition power switch for Ruby I have had similar problems like that before and one time it was the master power switch and the second time it was the ignition power switch to help diagnose those type problems while racing all of my switches have pilot lights that are either visible from outside the car or from the in car camera.
Seems to me LeRoy and Ruby are suffering from a serious lack of the 5-P’s (Prior Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance) sure I know they both have fresh Texas Speed (rebuilt) engines and some other maintenance but they didn’t get any real road testing or dyno or track testing to tune/shakedown the cars.
They were also put back together in a day.

Never lost a wheel off of my roof before , but the rear tire on my 69 Bug came off while I was driving it home from where I bought it . It crossed 4 lanes of freeway and went for at least a quarter mile before it stopped . I took one lug nut off of each of the other 3 , and drove the rest of the way on 3 lugs per wheel .
Gotta love when your commercials are Brent talking about the RPM ACT. If you gotta have a commercial it’s the best I could ask!
Ruby’s last pass was on a haul till it shut off. She was well into the 7s there. Could have been worse and plenty of time left to make it up

Y’all’s vid was only 6 secs old at the time I seen y’all. Durant, Ok is 37 miles from my current location in Texas. So that’s about right. It’s been slow going on southbound U.S.69 from Durant to U.S.82 in Texas. I seen a bunch of racers, then I was on the lookout. Hahahaha. Then Ruby appeared, followed by Leroy.
