LOVE those old late-60’s Fury’s - such neat cars! That T-bird looks kind of badass just they way it sits - flat black paint with the contrast of the new rims and tires! I’d be inclined to get the mechanicals where you want them and then just leave it as is! Ahhh - the perpetual “car guy” dilemma - so many cars, so little time and storage space…..😂
I'm betting Taleah will wind up at a local drag strip behind the wheel of one of these rods!!! Or maybe Autumn....or Tylynn.....or Haylee.... the more I think about it, they'll ALL be drag racing in the future!!! Take care, be safe and God bless!!🇺🇸

If it has a ceramic resistor on the firewall it's probably bad if it has no spark. Most people carried an extra in the glove box. They lower the voltage to the coil to 6-8 volts. The coil gets 12 volts from the starter when the key is in the start position and then when the key is in the on position the coil gets its power from the switch and thru the resistor. You can wire across it to see if it's bad. If you leave it that way very long it will pit the points.

In the mid 1970's, I had a 1969 Ply Fury III four door that was gold metallic. great car!
This one was originally avocado green. We think it was painted sometime in the 70s
