When I was a youngster (65-70 years ago) my dad and I fished the 3 big crappie lakes; Sardis, Enid and Granada. He had converted a school bus for a camper. John boat, 10 hp motor, cane poles and minnows. He was very particular about the size of the minnows, and they were hard to come by back then. We ate Vienna sausage in the little cans, sardines, cheese and crackers. And caught the “slabs” year round, but especially in the spring. I’d give anything to do it with him again. RIP, Pop.

Thomas, what is your current Go Pro set up? Which camera do you have and what mount is that? Any suggestions on how many batteries to have? Would be a great short video to make of your filming setup for folks that would like to get started with filming boat/fishing content. Very good set up for making these videos! You make it look easy but I know better! It's alot going on with the trolling motor, power brakes, livescope pole, fishing pole, and to film at the same time - amazing content my brother! Oh yeah, don't forget to add BOAT FLIP to that list!!!!
Man, here in Milwaukee Wisconsin, I show my brother your videos, but when he see you catch those 'Slabs' and then release them, he immediately says, "I don't want to see that!". It's because we have to travel hours in hopes of the trip being worth the cost to get to various spots to fish, and without the guarantee of catching enough fish to make it worth the while. Honestly, I get (kind of) irritated too, but I understand, you can fish year round unlike us up here. Going fishing to you is probably like going to the local store, unlike us up here. Great videos and great channel. By the way, I build my own battery systems like 'The Mad Scientist'. I only do it as a hobby and as a 'Prepper'. My packs always impress and accommodate family and friends when they need power, but don't see anywhere around, and I go to my SUV and haul out any of my power stations they may be needing, and that's AC and DC combination Power stations.

When you wore out from catching hawgs you know its been a good day most of those nice fish you caught hawgs anywhere gotta be 12" to keep there thats why it has giants probably 2+ lb fish all day long
