Bluey was always an inspiration athletes who found their calling a little later than the rest. The way he shrugged off a heart attack, picked up the pace and then completed with a discus throw shows why he was a bloody legend.
Fitzroy St looks somewhat similar today than it did then. There's a few more apartment buildings have gone up on the right side of the street going down towards the beach. Bargearse was what I saw first of course, but Lucky Grills was a pretty decent actor. I think I first saw Bluey maybe in the mid-late 90's when Ch.7 replayed the series late at night.. I thought it was a pretty good show.. Lucky was a likeable guy, and his character was cool..
That *Night & Day* pharmacy at 1:26 on the corner is still there to this day, some 5 decades later! That *Mitchells* shop in the background at 1:47 is now a Pizza Bar.
John Proper is the bad guy ? Used to be a floor manager at Channel 9 ? Did a bit of acting for Crawford as well. In fact I think he was mainly an actor ?Thanks for the upload. Great series. Pity it only lasted one season.
I can see where i used to live right on the corner t next to the white building now the Sait night club and the Mitchells brush shop is now the supermarket and apartments
@@peterjazz850 ...I'd be very interested to have the titles of what kpm music you have..in after mostly Crawford stuff heard in their various tv shows..can you send a list of what you have please ?...what other albums that aren't kpm do you have ?...
Despite his bad heart Bluey actually had a nice turn of speed but unfortunately no stamina therefore relying on dopey crims to fall for his magic tricks.
He played a 'Barassi' like character named 'Rostoff'. Only line he had was 'you're playing like poof's!' LOL. I had no idea he left us so recently. How did you find out?
I'm having extreme trouble distinguishing this from Bargearse.
Dim sims, chiko rolls, giant pizza's, I need me bloody lunch!
@gilson.serafim95 Thanks but I’m pretty happy with the entire series of Bargearse which I have on good ole VHS 👌🏼😉
This wasn't??
😆🤣
…any of you ladies fancy a Dutch oven?…
One of the great fat man chase scenes in cinematic history. He overcome angina pain and lack of parking in Fitzroy Street. Champion.
yeah nothin like a second wind for bluey
Those bloody wiggles were hardcore crims back in the day. Lucky Anthony went on the straight and narrow after this.
🤣😂
Lucky Grills on Fitzroy street. Sounds like a good cafe. 👍

That's the bloke who stole me dimmy's and souvlaki.
Used to watch this each week in the full expectation of Lucky having a coronary.
Wow. I was 7 when this was made. Memories.
So sorry that you had to endure that = but here at the bluey survival club understand 🙈🙉🐵❤️
Hard to believe that this would become the title of a little kids' show!
a beautiful specimen in full flight
I remember watching Bluey in 76, thinking it was a comedy. It made Homicide look like The Wire. I still watch Bargearse on DVD occasionally.
Great comment 🤣😂Spot on 100%
I miss the old days when a man could have a heart attack and then just get on with his day.
The emphasis is on "man" not soft cock pansy poofter.

This is excellent. Bluey parks right outside the George.
Used to be elephant n wheelbarrows
@@vijaybala3220 errr. No
You don't get acting of that calibre anymore.
That was nice of Mason to tell Bluey to look after himself.
Yeah, the crooks around Fitzroy Street are internationally renowned as some of the world's most considerate of people's feelings.
"They're cracking down on bad fashion in this series".
"Aw shit!"

Chemist shops tend to endure. Soul Pattinson on Pitt Street closed in 2018 after 145 years in the same building
I want that VK Valiant!
That Valiant was well optioned
Yep...noticed that. A fine looking Valiant. Never remembered them like that.
It's a high-spec Regal...the only thing higher was a CK Chrysler, or maybe a 770 Charger.
@@saxongreen78 a high spec Regal would be a Regal 770- so a Charger 770 is no fancier.
VK Regal 265. Lovely !
Favourite model is the VE Valiant a stunningly beautiful car
I know the feeling of having to run after eating a chiko roll and drinking half a bottle of mylanta
00:53: “Just one more pissy stunt!”.
the entire 70s was one pissy stunt after another, god love 'em 😁
“Ughh, Jesus!”

He was also Rostoff in The Club!
Also at one time the (or a) producer of "New Faces"?
I thought that was him.
Lovely hair 😅😆
Geez those rubbish bins are still up that bloody lane to this day!.
No their not but surprisingly the chemist on the corner is still there !!
@gilson.serafim95 Is that you, Hector??
Frustrated everybody wanting to turn left into Grey St. He lived for 30 years after this 1928-2007 from the best sources!
So he was 79 years?
This is comedic gold
This is the type of detective we need today, no fancy stuff just good detective work.
The car is parked right outside the old seaview ballroom, the George hotel opposite the former railway station
Lucky Grills would have made a wonderful James Bond
'The name's Blob... _huff...hurrr...wheeze_ ...aw, forget it!'
Yes, down to earth, no big expectations, just good entertainment.
Make mine a beer daiquiri.
flippin loved this boss series :)
“That’s not your capricciosa and you know it”
Bargey earned those dimmies after this effort.
…and a bucket of soy sauce woggo
A _Champagne_ pissweak villain being pursued by Super Mario Bargearse...heheheh!
I can see where i used to live right on the corner t next to the white building now the Sait night club and the Mitchells brush shop is now the supermarket and apartments
That's the. Old. St Kilda. Train station
Great show
That baddie has a meat pie down the front of his pants
I thought Bluey was about a cartoon dog
Hey, its Barge arse!
He heard dimmies were 6 for $2 at Wongs Chinese
That dim sim special was at THE GOLDEN RETRIEVER!
Good deal as Barge's order was a 'shitload of dim sims and a bucket of soya sauce'.
Bargearse brought me here.
Too Many Party Pies And Cans Of Carlton Draught!🤔🫓🍺🍻
Maybe a shit load of dim sims and a bucket of soya sauce
@@copyright7156 Ya full Sarge? McNuggets, Fileto Fishes, Big Macs, Apple pies Im Mcchockers 😖
That crim had short hair for the 70s. I'm guessing thos is because he had just featured in another Crawfords show, The Sullivans, set in the WWII era.
GIMME A SHITLOAD OF DIM SIMS AND A BUCKET OF SOY SAUCE!😁
Classic seventies Aussie cop show.
Every one of these clips should come with tony martin subtitles and the occasional fart
I often wonder how these Street scenes are filmed and the looks of passers by included in the action...
det...timmy saragooso...good show
Good 1 Gezza
Bluey was obviously picking up old mate for crimes against fashion, that orange jumper...
Bargearse has been watching too much Shintaro.😅
Great 🎶 playing
Fair suck of the sav, Bluey
That's not your pizza, Skasey!
The music playing was Johnny Pearson’s Thunderbird.

Onya Bkuey. Why run when you can frisbee the legs out from under him without even touching them!
Bugger. I put this on thinking it WAS Bargearse!!!!
1:35 Detective Sergeant Bargearse
The old ticker.
A couple of smokes and I'll be as good as new.
The late John Proper. He passed away two years ago. Channel 9 identity. He also popped up in The Club. And BT never ages, does he.

good ole Bluey lol.
Looks like Barge Arse to me? Too many doughnuts, pies and sausage rolls consumed take their toll.😉

Obviously Russel Street hadn't been bombed when this was filmed ?
"You could have taken a leg off with that lid". LMAO, they don't write lines like that anymore. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Bargearse is having his afternoon heart attack. Someone needs to grab his emergency family size packet of crisps and pack of durries.
It's Christopher skase whith bargearses pizza
i seem to remember that frank cannon would shoot people whenever he fell behind whilst running after them
Where can i get this series ?
Crawford Productions website
he didn't say what favour he wanted 😉
