Dog Theft Awareness - March 14th 2024

It’s Pet Theft Awareness Week! It’s always a welcome reminder to what we should do to look after our pet friends, as well as ways to reduce the risk.
14 March is Dog Theft Awareness Day and there are ways to actively keep your dog safe:
🐶Make sure microchips are registered and up to date!
🐶Do not leave your dog tied up or unattended
🐶Always be alert and aware
🐶Dogs can be stolen from home, make sure gardens are secure
🐶Consider varying walk times and keep pup in sight at all times
If your dog or cat is missing on suspicion of being stolen, call the police and report to local animal wardens. Share a post on socials and local community pages too, in any case of a missing pet.
