Anyone who follows his examples of how to use an angle grinder is asking to get hurt! Innate been using angle grinders for forty years in my trade as a welder and I NEVER run without a safety guard!!! Also the way he is cutting, the direction of rotation will push the grinder right into your body should the blade catch. And to prove he doesn't know what he's doing, when grinding steel you never let the sparks come at you. Always send the sparks away from you in a safe direction! Wear leather gloves, synthetic material and those cheapo gloves will not protect you against accidental contact with the abrasive. I have seen too many serious injuries and suffered a few minor ones myself. But I don't invite disaster. This should have removed!!!!!
I have a saw chain attachment for my angle grinder. I do not dare to operate it without a guard. Also, I actually stopped using the saw chain attachment because it scares me, but also the 80 grit flap wheel is very aggressive on wood, so much so that I actually use that to carve wood. Finer grit flap wheels can then be used to smooth them out, but I prefer air sander if I can as the 80 grit flap wheel has a huge tendency to gouge the work piece. Those flap wheels are more aggressive on wood than most want to admit.
Also some of the disc's he uses. The saw blade type gouging wheels are extremely dangerous. I work at an aluminum boat building company and we use gouging wheels on our grinders and air gougers. *Graphic warning* There was a new guy who took one when he wasn't supposed to, he got inside a small cubby and went to cut out a small tack. Who knows why a cutting disc wasn't good enough for him. He had glasses on but no welding hood or face shield. It kicked back and cut the side of his cheek open. You could see inside of his gums. If it went an inch lower, he would've cut his throat and bled out instantly right next to me. We had to soak up puddles of blood at the bottom of the boat and wipe meat with beard hair attached off the sides of the boat. It got flung everywhere. Absolutely disgusting. Makes me sick thinking of it to this day. If you don't act like an idiot, you'll be fine. I've used gouging wheels for 4 years now. Safety is key.
You forgot the part where the surgeon amputates what's left of your fingers. NEVER work with flimsy gloves or without a guard. As a general rule, "I need a dodgy adapter" is synonymous with "This blade isn't meant to be put on that tool".
That Chain Saw disk for wood is incredibly dangerous. Don't even think about using it. If it stuck in the wood, You will get powerful kickback and bye bye fingers.
I'd say any toothed wheel is dangerous on an angle grinder. They kick and you will at some stage be caught out. And it's not so much fingers. They tend to run up peoples faces, or across feet.
