With the recent up-tick in beaver prices I look for trapper sign as much as beaver sign at new settings. If a setting has been previously trapped ahead of me I’ve learned to look for trapper sign to avoid puncturing waders from set sticks left with sharp wire sticking out!!!
You wer my first trapper I ever started watching and my favorite! Sure slim pickings yo watch this year. It is disappointing but I understand that a man canbe too busy sometimes and spread too thin.
Forever lol smart creature, that’s why you have to learn to use snares, footholds and as many different sets as possible. Always switch it up especially if your clearing out a whole colony for nuisance trapping
When you said you're not as good as you once was,( nice reference to Toby a devastating loss) it reminded me I've finally figure out what to put on my headstone 🪦. I knew if i lived long enough, something like this would happen. What do you think?

Just set my first 330's today 4 in total. I can wait to check em tomorrow
