I'm all for supporting our players. That being said, the best support Chas McCormick could get right now is to spend some time out of the rotation to go figure out his swing. I could dump on Arrighetti, it's hard not to look at his record in the whole.
First the game was not 08/14/24 it was 08/16/24 MLB. Was wondering why Espada didn't pinch hit for Mccormick earlier in the game with runners in scoring position, as Mccormick is at a terrible 2 for 25 and batting .196 ! @@ConnorLYTthere’s a huge problem in the Astros clubhouse with injury recovery time. Tucker’s been out for over 3 and a half months with a shin injury, and apparently he’s not even close to coming back (for context, a broken shin would heal faster). @@ConnorLYT a broken shin takes 4-6 months to heal completely. Tucker will maybe be back after 5 months, though most likely longer (5 1/2+). IMO the time he’s been out isn’t the problem, it’s the fact that the window for his return has been constantly changing.
