that's all well and good, but that all falls apart when angella is the one who absolutely refused to take any risks while the horde consumed everything around brightmoon. you can't play it safe when you're the one who's out-numbered, out-gunned, and out-matched. sometimes you gotta go all-in with what few chips that you have left, and hope you're playing your cards right, if you're gonna have any hope of winning that game of poker. glimmer is the one who leaped at the opportunity for first one's tech, finding adora. glimmer is the one who got the princess alliance back into action. glimmer is the one who stocked armaments to defend brightmoon, etc etc. angella made glimmer a commander, but did all that she could to try and prevent glimmer from exercising any actual authority. yeah glimmer made mistakes, but so did angella.

@@BabyGirlTiny you're partially right. glimmer certainly has an issue where she can be too brash and headstrong, and its bitten her in the ass on a few occasions, but that's because she's been pushed into desperation to prove herself due to her mother's insistent coddling and "play it safe" attitude. angella herself admitted to it, she became so struck with grief and regret after micah's death that she wanted to do everything in her power to keep glimmer out of harms way. she would shoot down most if not all of glimmer's suggestions and was only comfortable with decisions that carried the least amout of risk, despite the fact, as i previously stated, that the rebellion was crumbling around them and they were in no position to play it safe. you are very right that glimmer can be irriational, even childish, in her decision making, but I don't blame her after dealing with a lifetime of being told to sit still and do nothing as her world is consumed, all the while her mother would sit on her throne and wait for the end just so she wouldn't have to risk the pain of something potentially happening to her daughter. a poorly made decision is preferable to no decision, apathy is death.

I have to agree with you on Hordak being utterly useless through out most of the show, now, the version of Hordak that was seen in 2002's MOTU season 2 ep 9 was a real badass, to the point he kills one of his generals just for giving him bad news. Not even Vader did that. That version of Hordak also looks a lot more threatening as well. Shame DW didn't use that one.
