  • On October 3, 1995, a California jury found O.J. Simpson not guilty in the murders of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ron Goldman. Dubbed “The Trial of the Century,” millions of Americans were glued to their televisions as the verdict was read in court. I honestly feel bad for the Kardashians looking back at this trial.... I think Robert only took the case considering that was his best friend at the time.... I honestly think everyone would have probably done the same thing as well if their best friend was accused of murder, he was catastrophically not the same after the trial and some think it caused his death.

    The OJ Simpson verdict was a racially divisive issue. Black people where elated because they thought in the wake of the revelations about the racist Mark Furman and a history of racial insensitivity by the LAPD that was a case of a black man being framed by the mostly white establishment. White people where angered because they thought an abusive husband who had murdered an ex wife because of jealousy got away with murder. Incorrect. Thank Judge Ito for violating California law and case law precedent to allow the asinine exploration into the fact that Mark Furhman used a racial slur in a completely unrelated event more than 10 years prior to become the centerpiece of the trial.

      @@gocrazy3564 Actually if you analyze Judge Ito's decisions, he made some critical and completely boneheaded decisions that opened the door to the entire race card issue that came up. I did a paper on it in one of my classes for my CJ master's degree. Ito's decision to allow this red herring argument was mind-boggling and didn't have to happen.

      @@shindrithargriethrat8408 No offense but a paper that you wrote for a grade in college has no bearing on whether or not OJ committed the murders. At the end of the day Fuhrer and the police put the case in a casket when they tampered with evidence and screwed around the crime scene. If Fuhrer didn't frame OJ why did he plead the fifth instead of simply answering yes or no? You know the answer just as well as anyone does. He'd already perjured himself and would've committed perjury again had he answered no. The defense played it smart by putting Mark in a position to either admit guilt or lie and he took the easy way out in order to avoid a jam.

    • @shindrithargriethrat8408
      @shindrithargriethrat8408 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@gocrazy3564 He didn't frame OJ, so the entire premise of your analysis is wrong. Fuhrman only plead the fifth after testifying that he hadn't used racial slurs in the past 10 years preceding the trial. Once the tape of him using said slurs came to light, due to Judge Ito's decision to allow the trial to morph from a murder trial of OJ Simpson to a trial about Mark Fuhrman's alleged racism, Fuhrman invoked his right against all subsequent questioning. That's how the fifth amendment works, once you claim it, you claim it, it's all or nothing. As it stands he plead guilty to perjury. I agree with you that the defense was smart, but if Ito would have done his job properly it never would have gotten to that point. If you really think OJ didn't kill Nicole and Ronald Goldman, then I've got some oceanfront property in AZ I'd love to sell you.
