I actually liked having my car with me. I could just head back without messing around with all the ground transportation. A couple times I got stuck sleeping at Chicago Midway. I always took my car with me to Florida. Then I would spend a couple days there.
I've thought about doing the driveaway. I've driven a truck otr for 20yrs and lived in it. Haven't been in a truck for 6 months now. Trying this settled down married life for first time.... it's overrated. Yes you can make good money and be home every night, if that's what you like. Me myself I would rather travel around the USA and make less tbh. You only live once, myswell enjoy this 1 life you got.
Im with synergy driveaway also & I’m on my way to Irving TX now driving a truck for morning delivery. I use Priceline app and skiplagged app for car rentals and flights. You not using your Honda CR-V?

Not normally. Very rare do I have to do a deliver over the weekend. They usually give me a load that picks up on Friday and delivers 1st thing Monday morning so I don't have to deal with weekend dispatch. 🤣
Thanks for the great info, I have a question for you, do you pick up the units directly from the manufacturer or do you pick up from the transport company’s yard? Which transport companies are in Goshen ( I am assuming that is where the transport company is, correct me if I am wrong )
We pick up at the lots of the company we're driving that unit for. Each company will charge a 'pull out' fee. It can range from 15-35 dollars. Sometime lower, sometimes higher depending on demand.
You can make a decent living. It's a good opportunity to get your foot in the door if you're wondering if this is something you'd like to do without alot of startup costs. Each company has different requirements and most of them post the information on their websites. 😊

If you tow a car you are still wearing out tires,wheel bearings maybe ujoints. Seem to me to bery hard to make any money at this. The IRS loves independent contractors
If you use a tow car your going to be putting 75,000 miles a year plus gas in it on your way home. These companies are getting you to run for free just like amazon home delivery
It has the potential to be that way, I absolutely agree. Thats why its so important to know when its the more profitable option to take the tow car over flying back. 😊 This load was a prime example of the tow car being the better option to take.
Yeah, it wasnt a good trip. That was the purpose of taking it was to test my theory about not looking at every aspect of the load board. The next one that I have planned with Synergy will have a much better result.

You should do a review on a GPS what do you use to navigate 👍🏿
