Mam, great tutorial and appreciating, but i am here with a doubt that i think the current through T1(IT1) will not conduct beyond pie it will be like the positive of o/p current(Io). I was going through a book(Power electronics circuits, device and apps by Md. Rashid) to cross check my doubts and the current IT1 wasn't beyond pie. I would request you to please clarify my doubt mam. Thank you for your time😇🙏
because as u can observe that we use 2 thyristors and 2 diode means its a half controlled rectifier(Don't compare it with full wave, though it has large similarity in the wave for if you connect a free wheeling diode across load but it produce current in negative also not like full wave where both -ve and +ve converts to +ve... hopefully i have able to clear your doubt sis😇
what about inductor effect?
due to inductor why negetive half is not present?
Why is the current constant , can anyone please explain???
Tq mam!!! Really helped for my exam preparation ☺☺😊
Most welcome
Mam negative cycle me output voltage negative kyu nahi hua?
Vv osm explain Ma'am 😘
Glad to help you
Thank you ma'am for making these lectures 🥰
Glad to help you
Thank you so much mam .
Very nice explanation.
Glad to help you

yes,it wont. She said till pie(same as Is) but maybe mistake was done in animation.
Will output current will always constant
Thank u mam making this video
Glad to help you
voltage equation of single phase semi converter
Thank you mam
Glad to help you
Good explanation mam.....
But what is the reason of calling them as semiconvertor...????
Plzzz... explain.............

You are great mam..

Helps a lot..
why, D2 doesnot conduct in first(positive) half cycle?
why, current waveform is not sinusoidal?
Because of current direction flow and 2. İs the caused by fourier analysis and highly inductance case
Nice explanation
Thank you for your words
