Me I don't care what anyone says I want to Japa,if anybody knows any easy legal way that could help me pls I have tried everything possible to make money in this country😓 it's obvious my destiny is not in Nigeria at all.
As a Japad Nigerian living in America, it is truly disheartening and infuriating to see the wastefulness of investing in Nigeria. The Naira is in a free fall, spiraling without any hope of recovery. Frankly, the best anyone can do is build a family home to ensure their loved ones back home have some semblance of a decent life amidst the chaos. For those claiming that we are being "used" outside Nigeria, let’s be clear: Nigeria was never going to "use" us. It lacks the capacity now, and it won’t develop that capacity anytime soon. With incompetent fools-actual drug lords-at the helm, this nation is not moving forward. Instead, it’s backsliding, drifting further and further away from its supposed goals. The truth is, Nigeria doesn’t just need new leadership; it needs a complete overhaul, starting with its educational system. Without that foundation, there is no hope for meaningful progress. The country is doomed to keep repeating the same destructive patterns unless we address these root issues.
of all u said here mention one thing that is related to a develop country?? Too much grammar wont solve anything.. The westerner has investors n entreprenuer who also faces setback but kept going to succed n was reason they can employ we all, so if they too had ran away then, do u think America will be great?? Our passport are not the worst because Nigerians travelling abroad it's the worst because of the fact that we keep voting the same set of evil and satanic leaders into the political position. We have every piece of information of all our so-called politicians, but yet we vote them because of their family wealth or their God father. Nigerians should wake up.
Omo, before I used to be pro Nigeria. I'm pro Nigerians now, which means I believe in the people getting what they want even if we don't all get it at the same time. I want to be in Africa, if this royal Niger company (which is what Nigeria was called first and really is) doesn't want to work, then I'm going to another African country that's trying to be something. I firmly believe this company is running the way the owners intend for it to be. I can't have a child in a country where they will be cutting hair like it's a disease, amongst other issues. If Nigeria is beneficial to anyone, let them be happy but our feelings are valid abeg
Peaceful & happy life is more important. I left Nigeria when I was 19 years old now 37 years. Lived in America for 13 years and also became a citizen. After traveling around the world and seeing the world for what it really is, we decided to move back to Nigeria after 17 years in Abroad. Our family and friends thought that was the most stupid idea ever. Leaving a great country like America to live in Nigeria. Well, when I left I was 19 and my frontal lobe was still developing. At this age and time, I realized everything in USA and Europe is not mine or my ancestors. I realized my ancestors that died during slavery and colonization will be proud of my decision to come back home. Now, Nigeria isn’t for everyone neither is abroad. You first have to have a purpose in life and decide what you wanna do next. Moving to Nigeria has given me the long awaited peace that I longed for. No more living around non empaths with guns and women who are comfortable marrying 10 times. No more police harassment which I encountered multiple times. No more profiling or job segregation and folks yelling “go back to your Africa” 😂 They’re two types of folks in this world. 1. The ones that found a solution 2. The ones that created the solution. Nigeria isn’t for the weak and you all can argue with yourselves but you cannot make money or live the kind of life you’ll live in Lagos anywhere else in the world. Most folks overseas have multiple kids and a 9-5 jobs. Imagine bringing a family of 7 back home? When flights are $1,500 each and you also have to pay bills in America before leaving and also bills while in Nigeria for a family of 7 that’s a lot of money to just visit Nigeria. They’ll rather lie to the kids that Nigeria is a dead zone. As for us, we worked hard to be here and at some point you realize another man created the money you’re constantly chasing. My dad is 100 years and happy in Nigeria and nothing beats the joy of him seeing me and his namesake/grandkid. All the best brother and sisters leaving! Nigeria will always be home for me and the patriotic Nigerians who are creating solutions like Dangote and all. God bless Nigeria🇳🇬✊🏾
A question...do your kids have back up to go back to America if they want? Now you have option so you can take this decision. This coming back to Nigeria won't come to mind if you aren't comfortable(security wise in terms of finance) enough to stay back in US.
@@emmanuelchukwuemeka5831 My kids won’t even know that they’re American citizens until they’re old enough. And by that time I will already have given them the life no other nation can give them. I left because I needed money not because I was poor. All the funds I used to sponsor my journey was made in Nigeria. I’d make more as a young IT folk back in 2008 making millions and thought I don’t belong in the same Nigeria that made me. It’s all in your mind. I spent and lost more money in America than ever. Don’t get me wrong you make good money but get taxed on everything by the hour. At the end you decide what type of lifestyle suits you.
@@emmanuelchukwuemeka5831my previous responds to this question was actually deleted. But the life I’ll give my kids in Nigeria, no country on earth can give them that.
Stay or Japa, the fact that these individuals are able to have constructive arguments without taking each other's heads off means there is still HOPE for Nigeria. Well done to you all and a massive well done to the Cruise. Bless and ✌🏾
One of the problems of nigeria is we go to school too much Every rich person go to school to learn noting. We could just be making stuff for the world to buy. But we go to school to look for job to buy foreign stuffs.
The only people that don’t see Africa is the future is Africans! Tobi. That is the best thing I have heard so far in this video. We are the only ones who can build this country. Whether you stay or you Japa, just remember that for Nigeria to change, you have a Duty to this country. Nigeria will always be Home.
The only people that don't see. Africa as the future is Africans, great statement, I agree. Have you asked yourself why? Or do you believe Africans are naturally pessimistic?
8:40 The man on purple needs more insights, because you had your own path doesn't mean everyone has same. If you are a youth between 25- 45 and you are reading this and you have an opportunity to leave nigeria please do. It is greener in that western country you want to go to, just don't be lazy. What will take you 30 years to get in 9ja you will do it in 5 years.
A fish rots from the head. If the leaders in Nigeria actually lead honestly instead of stuffing their own pockets, the country will not be this bad and most people would stay to try to rebuild. We expect so much from citizens, but why are leaders not held to the same or higher standards? There's only so much citizens can do when leaders are agents of destruction and greed. Nigerians have been praying since I was a baby but we have not been able to pray ourselves out of greedy and self-serving politicians. People are staving. Depending on what state you reside in, 30k can barely cook a pot of soup / balanced meals that will last a family 2 weeks let alone pay for transportation, school fees and housing. Getting capital for the average Joe to start and run a business without ending in crippling debt is nearly impossible. As for the man in purple, I take it he does well for himself and he is well connected. If you take all that away for a year and pay him 30k monthly for a year, I would really like to see how he would build a business from the scratch with that.
You can outearn a bad economy lol. How do you think the rich people are living? Only 1% of the population is in politics. How do you think the rest of the rich people make money???
Also, when you compare the rate of entrepreneurship in Nigeria to that of other countries, Nigerians rate is way higher. Almost every Nigeria has business, even the 9-5 have side hustles. But alot of entrepreneurial spirit have died due to poor funding, bad government policies, lack of amenities, crumbling currence ...
I don’t think the man in Ankara really thought about some his answers before speaking😂 Tobi is so articulate, loved her responses. The cast was really good, welldone Cruise ✨
A nurse can start a home service for adults. People think! You don't have to be an employee...employees are the 1s complaining in nigeria. Be an entrepreneur!
Cruise needs more followers and publicity, it brings out our societal problems and shed light into it thats important right Now the only way we can fight and win this battle in Nigeria and Africa as a whole is by spreading out information and fostering positivity. Migration didnt start now and won't also stop. The Process is due when its right
For me, it’s all about the passport. A British passport gives me the flexibility I need. As a network engineer, I worked in Nigeria for six years, but deep down, I always knew I couldn’t progress if I stayed. Now, with just a few months left until I get my ILR, I can finally come back home, work remotely, and contribute to all the projects my guys are working on. I’ll be bringing that European experience into the mix. I love my country, no doubt, but my experience has taught me that sometimes you have to be selfish to keep your sanity. It’s the only way I can stay strong enough to address the issues without being completely consumed by them.
I left 12 years ago. But stop sending money home cos the entitlement was too much. I feel i have paid my debt to my family. I decided to buy properties abroad and put myself and my children first. I travel back home for visit only. Don't plan on coming back. All my life, I only learn struggle, I don't want my kids to learn that
This is an important discourse. I appreciate the objectiveness of the panelists, both those in support and those against, they all brought up strong points to back up their arguments. The prompts were also apt because they reflect present realities. All in all, you can't stop people from japa-ing neither can you force people to japa. People are free moral agents and at such they should decide for themselves what they'd like. However, the issue with the present exodus is the brain drain effect on the home country -Nigeria. The big question is "Survival or patriotism, which comes first?"
8:12 I am an English graduate. I am in Nigeria. I started as a teacher now I am working in a bank. (I had to go learn math and arithmetic so i could pass exams to get into the banking system) I have my TH-cam channel now where i talk about chess and i am sure it will blow up in years to come. At a point, i was on up work as a freelancer, sharpening my tools. "Graduate mentality" I love that word so much. You are meant to find solutions and create value. I am not against Japa oo but as a graduate, you should be able to find solutions. If you don't want to face the camera, you can start a faceless channel. There are lots of ways man 😉😉
Mr sir! I’d approach you differently because you are not against “japa”. This is going to be a long read. Now my points will be directed to what the video is about and the things you’ve highlighted. You’ve successfully created a wonderful picture of you being able to create value and find solutions… great. Now, in the part of the video that your comment was raised from, the man talked about having a graduate mentality which should help you think yourself out of poverty. My first question is do you consider yourself rich? Because now, you’ve painted a picture of having value, invariably supporting what the man is saying. Don’t forget that he is also saying that that value should bring you out of poverty, so my question is, with your values and you alleged graduate mentality, how have you been able to take yourself out of poverty. You work in a bank, noted, now - infact for me to say that you earn give or take 200k is that I’m giving you the benefit of doubt, do you know that with 200k monthly in Nigeria, you are not even a middle class, respectfully sir, you are poor. I’m currently a student in Canada and do you know that my two weeks salary is more than x4 of that money and I don’t even work full time, I work part time. Now lemme not compare in that sense since I don’t spend naira but analyzing it this way, my take home money after paying my rent, my groceries and miscellaneous every month is still more than x3 of that money, giving me the chance to achieve in very few months, things that would have taken me years to do in Nigeria. With a 200k salary in Nigeria, your monthly groceries and transportation or fuel if you have a car has swallowed half of that 200k, i purposely left out rent since its yearly in Nigeria. You can save up for that one but it’s still not even convenient enough. It now brings me to my point, why do Nigeria citizens have to go to school, graduate, and can still not hope that they can make a proper living out of their degree?? Make it make sense. That is why the African parents mentality when it comes to what they want their children to study in uni, has just some select courses that they want for their children (health related or professional courses) and that is only because of the situation of the country and the thought of survival for their kids and again, I don’t blame them. “Value”, of course generally in every country is priceless and also rewarding but why is a degree in Nigeria on its own not even enough value? Even most professional courses are still under paid. I can tell you boldly, that every degree here has immense value and will earn you good money! Your value, definitely will earn you more! Can you actually say the same for Nigeria Mr sir?🎤. Most working class in Nigeria has a side hustle because they have come to terms with knowing that their job on its own cannot sustain them comfortably. Now I’ve given you the a view of what my salary is like here in Canada as a student. I’m not even working full time like I said. Even with my part time salary, I’m still able to pay my rent monthly, feed comfortably, shop and enjoy myself and still have enough for my personal savings that makes me a millionaire in naira. Something that is not butter and bread in Nigeria. Why can’t you study an English degree and earn conveniently with an English degree? You no ask yourself that question. It is different if you want something on the side but your degree should be reliable! Why do you have to go learn maths on the even with a degree to become a banker? Again, it’s different if you had interest in banking. In Nigeria, most people don’t end up in their desired career path and end up switching just because they need a more convenient source of revenue to survive and most likely, what they want may not get them that. Imagine being a nurse and you’re earning 70k monthly, what the hell? What is 70k? In Nigeria, young guys of 29/30/31/32 are still in their parents homes because they honestly cannot afford to pay rent. Is it their fault, No. Look at what the lady on brown jacket said, that eh “you don’t have to be in the uk to earn pounds or in US to earn dollars”, why do Nigerians in Nigeria have to resort to look out to earn pounds or dollars, why is the Nigerian naira not sustainable enough? Guess what, it’s even things like that that adds more value to pounds and USD. Mr sir, the truth is that corruption has eaten deep into Nigeria, things has gotten so so hard and there is no possible reformation in sight. Nigeria has a longgg way to go and that’s on period. I love Nigeria so much and I am a very proud African but you cannot tell me or anyone with intentions to japa and fight for their life and survival not to because of some myopic analysis.
Symply You spilled 💯 fact Nigeria really has a long way to go.. I’ve said it anyone applauding the stay and build Nigeria together thing is a beneficiary from the current government one way or the other I mean with the current state of things ? omo that man on native make he no annoy me ohh 😂 like do you know how many entrepreneurs we have in this country everybody don turn entrepreneur person wey study English & literature wey suppose Dey teach for school person go manage see private sch self teach they go Dey pay the person 40k or no job at all now E go dump he degree and go into something entirely different from the degree Dey spent heavy money in school to get coz of no job i cry for this country 😭 who want to leave should just leave and they should stop making people that left feel they ran from the country if things where better people won’t have reasons to leave for greener pasture..
@@symplydianaa Your take is excellent. What the a lot of people fail to realize is that most people can't make money when institutional poverty is the order of the day. A few people might escape it, but most will end up in poverty because that's just the way the system is designed
My biggest takeaway from this was, there's a lot of work that needs to be done. The major solution to nigeria being great again definitely lies heavy on the government
I Swr like I just dey vex like wtf is this man saying nah this once’s get papers when anything sup for country they don carry their paper move outta the country..
Don't mind him,if he and his friends had soro soke in their youthful days we won't be in this mess now,you see boomers/early millennial generations, they love to suffer and smile ehnn
Number 1 japa gives you an opportunity to change not just your life but also your generation. 2. For a person who knows what they want to achieve japa gives you the opportunity to get your dreams into reality. 3. Japa gives you opportunities to do business without lying. 4. Japa shows you how lazy you have been in nigeria. If you are not hardworking you wont survive in the western world. 5. Japa gives you a free platform to meet people which nigeria made it limited to meet. 6. Japa shows you how we lack basic amenities in nigeria. E.g power sector, health and housing.
Can y'all see the function of age (time) on each participants response?! The older man has no better choice than to stay,it is most convenient for him.
You can Japa when you're young to be able to absorb the real PAIN than when you're 40, 50s. After you've japa, your eye go clear. You WILL miss Nigeria, I promise.
So the man in purple, if ur son is a doctor and he gets an offer abroad and he shows u how much he is going to be paid. So u will discourage or stop ur son from leaving? Dey play!
Hi, I thoroughly enjoyed watching this talk show today. I find this is a very interesting discussion. In my Honest opinion, I believe that the first few things that need to be taken into consideration are, 1. the cost of living (depending on what region you are living in), 2.job sectors in regions that are high in demand and need more workers, and 3.the economy! When It comes to Nigeria as well as other parts of the continent, I believe that the training that is given to people who want to career train in the healthcare sector is sound and solid, because a lot of people who come to the UK in the hope to progress their career into that career sector who have already specialized within that specialism in the region of which they were based before traveling to the UK, are at an advantage. Reports have been carried out suggesting that the UK desperately needs more healthcare, medical professionals, and social workers. Reports have been made that Junior Doctors feel that they are being burnt out, and Nurses feel that they are being burnt out trying to do their own jobs as well as other people’s, which is due to not enough staff. Several reports have been carried out where it has been said that there are not enough social workers in certain parts of the UK or in certain boroughs in London, which has even led to serious cases being dismissed where children are faced with trauma. The reality is, is that if more people from the continent including Nigeria actually consider the opportunities in the UK as well as other regions across the world where the economy is strong they can set themselves a time limit as to how long they intend to stay in this region or any other region of their choice of work, earn and save and then compare and contrast the cost of living and see which works out better. When you look at the salary of a qualified Nurse in this region, the average salary for an experienced Nurse is around £45,000 per year, which is also the same for an experienced Social Worker! The minimum that a social worker can earn in this region is £33,000 per year. So depending on the number of people from other parts of the continent who want to study in this sector as a long-term career goal, the advantage that they would be at is not only would they be earning a good salary but they have a choice of working as staff or doing agency work where the pay is even higher. And, what people need to start understanding is that it's not just about issues, the workload, or the stress that we experience whilst we are in these jobs, it's about being in control based upon what is best suited for you as an individual. Because, whether you want to be a business owner or career train once you have your profession there is always something to fall back on. And once you are coming into one country from another country where you have already gained experience you can always use what you have gained and developed and take that to other places. The Key thing to take into consideration is what actually provides a better income and where is best to live where the cost of living is cheaper. We also need to think about what we are doing now, if you have been working for a long period (7-10 years) and you intend to pursue your studies in the UK you put yourself at an advantage because if you have investments you have specialized in the specialism of what you intend to in the country you have chosen to travel to, that puts people at even more of an advantage.
NOT EVERYONE WANTS TO BE AN ENTREPRENEUR, and yeah it might seem selfish to JAPA but putting yourself first (fending for family/greener pastures) isn’t ever a bad thing. I’d rather be selfish than stay in a country that doesn’t serve me just because of patriotism or love of the country. Let me love the country from afar abeg 😂
Honestly Fred is right with his point. Nigeria is hard abroad is hard. The exchange rate in our currency is a big issue but trust me when I say. Many! Many!! Individuals abroad are not living comfortably they trade their PEACE for a living, they do this for a long time unknowingly and after years they regret it. Security issues, inflation and many more issues are everywhere in the world. What I can say is just be wise, wisdom is profitable to direct. Seek direction from God always and you will be fine.
We Africans have been put in a situation where we have been programmed to leave our countries because they have aided with making our nation's seemingly uncomfortable. But the government does not make a country, the people make a country. We need to use the aame energy and sacrifice and bond together. Drop the tribalism, stigmatization, hate for your fellow African brother and any form of jealousy. And stand and fight to make our country what it should be.
Another contribution I would also like to add is that once you are a qualified healthcare professional if you have signed up to do agency work, if you check to see when Doctors and Nurses are going on strike, there is more than likely to be a lot of jobs available, because they will be on strike which means trusts will be contacting agencies for more employees. As a professional, you have the opportunity to work where you like. And the key thing to take into consideration is you can give yourself a time limit based on how long you intend to stay in the job depending on if you choose to go into agency work or work as permanent staff.
This is not even a topic worth debating about, with the current state of this country. As for me, any opportunity I see like this, I meeeuuuuvvvvee 😉 ✌️. The rest na history 😅.
Omo this one really pepper me. The counter point in my head for some of the points the “Stay” people agreed to wants to just leave my mouth. Any day I touch down Nigeria, Cruise, you need to redo this series make I represent my Japa people😂🤲🏻.
A country where they expect you all to become entrepreneurs and build and already destroyed system, is a failed country already! As someone who worked for 15years in naija before I left, I'll tell you this, if you can leave, pls leave as fast as you can!
Great video, genuinely loved the concept and the discourse. I really tried to refrain from nit-picking but.. that Fred guy really sounded out of place most of the time
Ooh I feel like that argument about graduates not having the right mentality if they are earning only 30k after grad was a bit short-sighted. There are so many barriers that really shouldn't have to be there for someone who's invested in formal education. To tell someone they studied the wrong course and to go study another is also counterintuitive cause if they can't get a job, where are they getting the funds to study another course please? 😂
A lot of people from an older generation have that mentality. They often don’t factor in that they didn’t have to struggle as much as the youths of today do. This is the same for not just Afrikan countries but other continents too because inflation has increased a lot globally. Some old people like him make talking points as if all the opportunities easily available when they were young is still easily accessible today.
While I wouldn't agree, with his statement here, I think the point he makes is still valid. A lot of people talk about being a graduate, but in truth many people have no clue on what they studied or why it is even important. The mentality he is talking about is that you need to try other means than just waiting to be employed. For example, we have some entrepreneurs that created this TH-cam channel called Cruise.
@ entrepreneurship really isn’t for everyone. In a more reasonable scenario or country, people who want to be entrepreneurs would have the chance to and those who don’t won’t be forced to.
Sometimes knowledge is hard to get especially when one has data , do you know the population of nigeria only , na to just open ur mouth like black South Africans waaah
You are mumu ,your Nigeria as a country has up to 20% of black people on the continent, how many Nigerians do you think are traveling outside in comparison with the population of the country
Leaders with vision, people influenced, people work hard, system improves, everyone benefits (japa). Leaders without vision, people with skill not given chance, people demotivated, messed up system that kills dreams, everyone but the corrupt suffers (stay)
17:27 Sir, what'ss what'ssss thatttttt?? being used?? so, in Nigeria and in life, what's the means to survival other than rendering service to earn an income? everyone just have to wake up and start their career as being an employer in a day? where does the need for there being "rendering of service" come to play if it's one being used to render a service in exchange for money, irrespective of the location, I mean, what else would I be doing if I'm in Nigeria..
Cruise I need an invite on this topic. We have to redo this argument. I'm 'pro-japa'. The amount of counterpoints I have to this prompts will be are remarkable 😊
Why aren't you guys talking about the politicians who go overseas for treatment with our money, even send their children overseas? It is funny that you guys are cutting the branches instead of talking about the root cause. If the system is flourishing, why would you leave for another unknown destination? Corruption and neglect caused by political elites and public and private agencies have caused a lot of destruction that average Nigerians want to leave for greener pastures.
What Tobi said about the children of those who stayed back in Nigeria will end up employing those whose parent left the country when it’s bad is false statement but then I enjoyed the show ❤
The man in purple might have some ambitious or maybe even unrealistic ideas, but at the very least, I applaud his optimism. I really liked his answer to the question of “There are no problems in Nigeria…” The rest of them just sounded like they were fine with just having the money to isolate themselves from Nigeria’s problems and that’s not how to build a working society.
Yeah, a lot of times, progress starts with optimism. Though in terms of realism, I think it is actually more realistic for Nigerians to gather and fix their problem, than for everybody in Nigeria to japa. Like someone mentioned at the start of the video, not everyone can even afford the luxury of japa
Myopic thought processes about 9ja realities aren't realistic. 9ja employees mindset of "I can't kill myself for a job. I'm just there to get my share of the national cake!" Or "I can't "worship" someone else's head by working for them is prevalent. Also, universities often don't teach entrepreneurial skills, they teach theory and research abilities for students to then go & get real experience in the workforce. That's why we need more apprenticeship avenues & technical schools and not universities...Even the Western world is complaining that university graduates aren't ready for their workforce's realities.
Una done blow English finish and I done use my data help cruise, oya back to reality. Japa increase, stay decrease, suffering in the country continues 😢
Everybody should do what pleases them , if you want to Japa just do it and if you want to stay please stay dont look for people that will stay with you , japa or japada with you.
As much as I'm not fully in support of Japa as a solution to our problems in Nigeria, I disagree with the way the stay people are speaking, their points aren't strong. A lot of people are suffering and our government isn't doing well. We need stronger institutions, systems and respect for the rule of law. So many problems, but I'll never give up on believing we can be better and do better. We need people willing to die for the country but that's not a quality we posses as a people, Nigerians are selfish but I hope the selfless ones wouldn't be pushed to the wall and give up.
The way that lady says " is just that they have light" so casually as if not having stable electricity, good infrastructure and a functioning system is normal when it is not. These are the basic necessities of any high functioning society in any country in the world. Not having these resources in place will make any investment or project you would like to start in Nigeria futile and meaningless.
If your country doesn’t want to or can’t “use” you, please go to where you’ll be useful, you’ll make money and live a decent life while being useful, don’t let anyone gaslight you to stay in a failing country. 15:18
That's it! Naturally there should be more employees than entrepreneurs since it only takes a single person (or a few people) to start a business/enterprise
14:48 this is a big problem. By going to another country and instantly saying u can treat me poor bc I'm black and i am a guest UNDERMINES THE WORK BLACK PPL HAVE PUT IN. IT UNDERMINES SO MUCH STRUGGLE AND CAUSES A LOT OF DIASPORA WAR
Guys please let’s not act dumb. I can’t remember the man’s name in the purple outfit but respectfully sir, the japa issue is not the fault of the citizens. Channel this energy towards the politicians. It’s so weird how no one mentioned anything about the government and politicians moving this country backwards. Most issues are systemic. Wake up and use your brains. If you’re young and want to challenge yourself, leave you comfort zone and purse success legally and ethically. Help those around you and be a good person. That’s what really matters. That’s a better legacy than you trying to struggle unnecessarily. You don’t win an award for being a “sufferhead”.

I firmly believe this company is running the way the owners intend for it to be. I can't have a child in a country where they will be cutting hair like it's a disease, amongst other issues.
No more profiling or job segregation and folks yelling “go back to your Africa” 😂
They’re two types of folks in this world.
1. The ones that found a solution

Exactly. If you want to grow , you need to have connections in high places to get that
Bro in purple needs to understand that you can't outearn a bad economy.
Nigeria will be better, unfortunately most of us may not be alive to see it.
Exactly 💯 bruhh
You can outearn a bad economy lol. How do you think the rich people are living? Only 1% of the population is in politics. How do you think the rest of the rich people make money???
Also, when you compare the rate of entrepreneurship in Nigeria to that of other countries, Nigerians rate is way higher. Almost every Nigeria has business, even the 9-5 have side hustles. But alot of entrepreneurial spirit have died due to poor funding, bad government policies, lack of amenities, crumbling currence ...
yeh but the government policies are the problem. you would thrive if you had a good government. same for much of africa, though.
You see that government policies you cited it has a larger percentage.

All my life, I only learn struggle, I don't want my kids to learn that
You did the right thing
There are lots of ways man 😉😉
Could you give examples of faceless channels?
@Teee_01 Magnates Media...

Na APC member he go be 😂😂😂😂😂
Hi,
I thoroughly enjoyed watching this talk show today.
Abi o😂😂
I rather be selfish o 😂😂, I also rather be a second class citizen.
Wetin my 1st class citizenship don do for me
A very civilsed debate. Both sides made strong arguments.
This topic is all about Money 💰 🤑 💸

We Africans have been put in a situation where we have been programmed to leave our countries because they have aided with making our nation's seemingly uncomfortable. But the government does not make a country, the people make a country. We need to use the aame energy and sacrifice and bond together. Drop the tribalism, stigmatization, hate for your fellow African brother and any form of jealousy. And stand and fight to make our country what it should be.
12:52 "change the narrative and get back to the better days" Just dey play my brother 😂..
5yrs from now come back to this comment
Another contribution I would also like to add is that once you are a qualified healthcare professional if you have signed up to do agency work, if you check to see when Doctors and Nurses are going on strike, there is more than likely to be a lot of jobs available, because they will be on strike which means trusts will be contacting agencies for more employees.
As a professional, you have the opportunity to work where you like.
And the key thing to take into consideration is you can give yourself a time limit based on how long you intend to stay in the job depending on if you choose to go into agency work or work as permanent staff.
If you want this country to get better we need to stop expecting results that no one has worked for.
They mostly have thesame mindset but expecting change
no mind them jare
This is not even a topic worth debating about, with the current state of this country. As for me, any opportunity I see like this, I meeeuuuuvvvvee 😉 ✌️.

Nigeria must find its own development model.
A country where they expect you all to become entrepreneurs and build and already destroyed system, is a failed country already! As someone who worked for 15years in naija before I left, I'll tell you this, if you can leave, pls leave as fast as you can!
The people against japa today, I will like to hear from them in 5-10 years again.
I swear 😂
Japa wouldn't even be allowed that long.
Shoutout to Tobi... Made her point so well
15:09 THANK YOU!!!!!!!
@@niyoleoexactly!
I don't think many Nigerians graduates are employable though, because a lot of them really have no clue on what they studied.
@ entrepreneurship really isn’t for everyone. In a more reasonable scenario or country, people who want to be entrepreneurs would have the chance to and those who don’t won’t be forced to.
The points they made during the" there are no problems in Nigeria promps" justifies why people japa
Exactly, I was about to say this
Exactly
For the nurse, white nurse will get paid more, same qualifications
You can refuse such offers
No matter the job, white ppl will always get paid more than black ppl. That’s just the reality of the western world.
That's not how it works in the UK. They are paid based on qualifications.
In the Middle East however, it's a different story.
Why other africans are not migrating to nigeria since we are told that nigeria is the giant of Africa?
are they migrating to anywhere else in africa?
Sometimes knowledge is hard to get especially when one has data , do you know the population of nigeria only , na to just open ur mouth like black South Africans waaah
Yes, South Africa@@bluebellbeatnik4945
@@bluebellbeatnik4945 South Africa Egypt
You are mumu ,your Nigeria as a country has up to 20% of black people on the continent, how many Nigerians do you think are traveling outside in comparison with the population of the country
Fred is speaking like that because he has a good job
Abi
Leaders with vision, people influenced, people work hard, system improves, everyone benefits (japa). Leaders without vision, people with skill not given chance, people demotivated, messed up system that kills dreams, everyone but the corrupt suffers (stay)
My soul almost left my body trying to think myself out of poverty
😂😂😂
Oh chim 😂😂
Calm down ohh 😂😂😂
17:27 Sir, what'ss what'ssss thatttttt?? being used?? so, in Nigeria and in life, what's the means to survival other than rendering service to earn an income? everyone just have to wake up and start their career as being an employer in a day? where does the need for there being "rendering of service" come to play if it's one being used to render a service in exchange for money, irrespective of the location, I mean, what else would I be doing if I'm in Nigeria..
You get sense my brother. We all serving someone at the end of the day, and tomorrow someone else will serve you and that's life
@@jchrismusics yes sir
Cruise I need an invite on this topic. We have to redo this argument. I'm 'pro-japa'. The amount of counterpoints I have to this prompts will be are remarkable 😊
Why aren't you guys talking about the politicians who go overseas for treatment with our money, even send their children overseas? It is funny that you guys are cutting the branches instead of talking about the root cause. If the system is flourishing, why would you leave for another unknown destination? Corruption and neglect caused by political elites and public and private agencies have caused a lot of destruction that average Nigerians want to leave for greener pastures.
Oya nah go cut the root😂
What Tobi said about the children of those who stayed back in Nigeria will end up employing those whose parent left the country when it’s bad is false statement but then I enjoyed the show ❤
I second this
She was deluluing 😂😂😂
been waiting for this episode all my life 😂
The man in purple might have some ambitious or maybe even unrealistic ideas, but at the very least, I applaud his optimism.
This guy said we act like the country is on fire. Is like he doesn't know the price of Garri in the market 😒
Are you minding him
A paint is almost 3k now o 😂😂
Bought 1 congo for 1k last night, Garri of 250/300 per congo before
Una done blow English finish and I done use my data help cruise, oya back to reality. Japa increase, stay decrease, suffering in the country continues 😢
This thing is simple, go where you are appreciated
Sometimes the place that doesn't appreciate you is the better place to be
look, if you wanna stay, stay
if you wanna go, go
it is all because of the money...just follow the money cos it is everything
Everybody should do what pleases them , if you want to Japa just do it and if you want to stay please stay dont look for people that will stay with you , japa or japada with you.
Talk is cheap, especially from a place of comfort.
Miss tobi Dada. Kudos
Teachers abroad are highly underpaid too. They barely make enough, same as Nigeria
People who are really suffering anywhere don't have means to pay for foreign schools they won't attend all in the plan of migrating to other nations
People willing to die? What is the outcome of those who died for the country on the 20th of October 2020?
They were not selfless enough right?
The guy in purple is not there to talk and present constructive argument, he is just there to yap his nonsense 😂😂.
If you are lucky enough to get the opportunity to take an easy path to success why would you not take it if not for you but for your children
If your country doesn’t want to or can’t “use” you, please go to where you’ll be useful, you’ll make money and live a decent life while being useful, don’t let anyone gaslight you to stay in a failing country. 15:18
That man in Ankara is a paid actor at this point because you can’t be this dense
thing is if i don't see a glimpse of hope in the economy or government. Naij no fit see me permanently. i can visit but permanent stay nadaaa
If everyone is an entrepreneur who would be the employee
That's it!
Naturally there should be more employees than entrepreneurs since it only takes a single person (or a few people) to start a business/enterprise
Have you ever heard of B2B? Also businesses are considered persons.
anyone against travelling out is mad aswear.
Brain drain.
People make countries Great.
How are the people supp😅to make the country great when the government is reducing the quality of life?
Tobi and the man in Ankara suppose chop beating
I’m mad pissed
So detached from the reality of people in this country
yh, man in Ankara definitely works at a cyber cafe
14:48 this is a big problem. By going to another country and instantly saying u can treat me poor bc I'm black and i am a guest UNDERMINES THE WORK BLACK PPL HAVE PUT IN. IT UNDERMINES SO MUCH STRUGGLE AND CAUSES A LOT OF DIASPORA WAR
Never let anyone tell you that you can’t see the world 🌍
Guys please let’s not act dumb.
Glossed over the "Whys.". Did not yalk about political corruption, diverting of funds. Little talk about how it became so bad and who should be held accountable
If thinking could make people rich then everyone would be rich cause noone think pass poor man
Isn’t it still printed paper you get paid in Nigeria?
some of us no use reach 5m to japa o, btw I would even say the cost of living in Nigeria and that of europe is same, maybe just rent differs on average but you know the rent in europe is worth it. In Nigeria, investing in Nigeria with the money used to japa is no guarantee of success
Honesty, a "human in Ankara" should not repeat itself, please, Cruise.
Guy in the purple has an entrepreneurial mindset. Only entrepreneurs can truly understand what he’s preaching😂
I'm an entrepreneur and I don't agree with him at all.
Baba is just spewing rubbish 😂 startup requires so much money, time and other resources and the economy of the country is not helping matters.
Entrepreneur? He literally mentioned he's working for Microsoft 😂
Please I want to be paid in Gold. Fred didn't just say he is a Certified Microsoft ..., I was hoping to hear "CEO of _____"
People are collecting money from family members to pay their rent, really?
With which currency?
Try rate the audience small. 13:54
“There are problems everywhere” true, but problem pass problem, I go bed and I don’t worry that someone will kick my door in at midnight.
I too love this show ❤❤
What is the % of Nigerian immigrants in comparison with the Nigeria population ... I don't think Nigerians are among the top 5 African countries where their citizens migrating to other countries when you look at the population of Nigeria
