Frankenstein is the doctor, the green monster is just called the monster! A lot of people get those confused! It's basically about this doctor named Victor Frankenstein that gets so obsessed with mother nature and life. He observes the time of deaths, number of heart beats, etc. He gets a bit freaky about it... Then he attempts to create a handsome and talented human being to worship him like a god and do things for him, hence the height of the creature and the intelligence. He succeeds in creating life, however, the monster didn't look as good as Victor was hoping, got freaked out, and abandoned his creation. His creation lived with anger and grudge towards Victor, so he murdered Victor's family to make him live in torment. Victor tried years to kill this monster, but ended up dying because of illness. The monster then feels sad, because all he ever wanted was to be loved. :) I read the book just a couple months ago, so it is fresh in my mind :)
