Thanks a lot for this video , wow it saved the day for me . I also bought this mower from Sams club and shipped it to Africa . Ran into this issue and your video saved me . Yours must be a different yr than mine. Mine has a metal gear on wheel. Transaxle is locked up and wont go backwards so i removed the drive gears. Been a wonderful mower other than the carb being replaced teice, second time was with after market carb and runs better than when it was new. The new transaxle is $21.48, just look up the model and find the transaxle online. Cant complain about the mower and things will happen. As a mower shop owner told me, all mowers are junk and that keeps him in business
Junk. Take it back and buy a Toro recycler. The Toro will will only need a belt replacement after years of use. Occasionally a cable adjustment. Yardforce has no support and only one place in USA for parts. Chances are the Briggs engine is not going to have much in parts availability after warranty ends. Likely it was also built in China. Yes ...Briggs is doing that.
@@heyinway well after reading all the stuff about it, I am thinking I will have to eat this one, the way I got the darn thing I am stuck with it, guess I will make the best of it, and, did you know that after october 2023 Honda will no longer make gas powered lawn mowers, it was on there web site, said the epa regulations was to strict to make any money, and 2024 home depot will no longer sale any gas powered equipment of any kind, they think they will force us to use battery powered stuff, well I will concrete over my grass before that will happen, thanks for your reply
Transmission is locked up on mine! But thank you for pointing me in the right direction. I took the gear off and now the wheels turn freely...works fine for me, I never used the self prop anyways.
So that wheel fix fixed the self propel feature not working? My wheels are turning fine .cable looks good . But does not propell forward when I pull the lever Might it be a belt problem for me ?

Yes they are good mowers IMO. Especially for the price. Sam's doesn't sell junk.

Hi i think mine is having the same issues, but i cant seem to get the nut off. It keeps turning and turning but wont come off. Any idea?
Just saw this... sorry. Hope you got it fixed. Was the other wheel turning while you tried to loosen the nut? If not, maybe it's stripped.

That would be my guess. You should make a video when you get into it.

I think it actually has both. But I have never gone into that part of the mower so I don't want to speak as an expert.
