  • We just can't have anything nice. The chopper spout is too high and the wagons are too short. Now we know the chopper has a charging issue.

    The Milwaukee FUEL grinder is one of the best investments I have made personally. Next to that would be the 1/2 impact. Good video. Poor chickens will get rained on now... 🤣

      Before we got it, I already knew how nice it would be to cut metal far from civilization.

      "Manure magazine"... I like that! LOL:) Absolutely true for sure; ag mags are about worthless anymore... mostly advertising, the rest is "yellow dog journalism" made strictly to cater to the big companies and big gubmint agenda, which ain't in the interests of the small family farmer by any stretch! I used to get a couple cotton farming magazines for free when I was still row cropping, they were SO bad that I got to where I just tossed them in the trash as soon as they arrived... wouldn't line a birdcage with them! Saw the BIL's "Farm Journal" which USED to actually be a fairly good one, see now they've gone the same as the rest-- completely worthless! A few years ago I got a complimentary issue of "Progressive Farmer" and again, leafed through it briefly and tossed it in the trash. Mostly just hobby farm and ranchette garbage now for city slickers that bought five acres in the country, totally worthless. They even sent me a letter offering a free subscription if I'd just fill out a card and toss it in the mail-- I tossed it in the trash. Not interested!
      The ONLY farm magazine I will actually PAY for and look forward to getting is "FARM SHOW" magazine... no advertising and mostly "made by farmers for farmers" inventions and stuff and how to modify old equipment to make it work better or reengineer it to do new jobs. It's great! It's only a bi-monthly though and comes printed on newsprint rag paper... cheapest they can get to keep the cost down! I always wondered when I got those stupid "Cotton Farming" and "Cotton Grower" magazines, which were monthly and came on the slickest, most beautiful photography-grade fine paper they could get, just how much those stupid magazines cost to put out, and HOW I was getting them absolutely free, whether I wanted them or not. My seed/chemical/fertilizer guy told me that they buy their mailing lists from cotton seed and chemical company purchaser lists... send it out for free to "spread the message", meaning AGENDA... The one mag was basically mostly about some bigshot cotton farmer down in Mississippi running about 100,000 acres back then and what he was doing, every month there was AT LEAST one story about him and his operation, sometimes 2-3... I used to laughingly call it the "that guy" report. The other magazine was strictly a corporate shill yellow dog journalism at its finest... utter trash. I got to where I just tossed both in the trash as soon as they arrived it got SO bad! Finally wrote on the card "quit sending me these!" and dropped it in the mail, because DESPITE their yearly haranguing to "send in this postage free card to keep receiving the magazine!", which I NEVER filled out or mailed, the things just kept coming even AFTER I quit farming cotton, which was several years before I quit row cropping altogether...
      Later! OL J R :)

    You should get a bigger grain wagon instead of like a million gravity wagon

    • @boehmfarm4276
      @boehmfarm4276  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Many small wagons allow for compartmentalization. At some point we'll probably have wagons full of beans that will be roasted and wagons with ear corn and wagons with shelled corn all at the same time.

    Just wondering if a retractable water proof cover like the dump trucks have would be something to consider. Can flip over when you park the wagon ?

      There's a reason it is pronounced with a long "a" and not a long "o"

    • @boehmfarm4276

      I loved that machine, but there's only so much barn space and I bought the green one. I could be picking 40 acres of ear corn this year. As much as I like the Ford picker, 40 acres would be better with two rows.
