We are impressed by the technical content, and photography. What impresses me most is how JB has transformed. I am still in the time capsule JB was some small bus stop with some coffee shops. And, the railway station (now museum). Years 1970’s, >>2000, 2022.
Thank you Mark Tan again! Yes, the entire video and photos were shot using my handphone. When I produced the RTS updates every month, I do consider how I can feature some other parts of JB too in the video to improve viewers experience. For this video, I featured herons and egrets and also some night scenes of JB.
JB is our last stop in 4 month Asian trip. Just booked a residence room in Tebrau. Wow, there is so much food around, fulfilling our food tour, photo, culture and family reunion.
So good to know you are going on a 4-month Asian trip that includes food, photos, culture and family reunion! I am very sure it will definitely be a fulfilling trip!
10,000 passengers per hour per direction. 10,000 at 3 minute interval = 20 trips per direction = 500 passengers per trip in LRT, that will need about 6 cars in a row per trip = about 83 passengers per car in the same trip. Drawing from current LRT used by singapore, 83 passengers can be really tightly packed from space to space. But this 10,000 is the initial projection of capacity, subject to reality check of the capacity of LRT cars to be bought and used.
Yes, I was glad to see a number of herons and egrets near the RTS marine viaduct. It means the wildlife not affected much by the RTS marine viaduct constructions. Hope the RTS Link can be completed according to schedule as it will bring a lot of convenience to commuters and reduces traffic congestions at the causeway.
Great thanks to u again sir. A very close view, with structure Terms enclosed👍. Comprehensive coverage indeed, especially the Spore side . Well, Spore side looked convincingly having 45%, but the Johor side, some reported 30% completion, another says 35% ...... Donno which is the correct figure, n where they source completion rate from😆😆😆😆🤔🤔🤔..... real chaotic, misleading , confusing😵😵😵😵...... and much tempat Kosong (empty space, without structure)😆😆😆😆. I can't really trust Johor side's figures. Anyways, thanks again sir for your close proximity reporting👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏
You are welcome Nya Sing! Yes, I do agree Singapore side has a convincingly 45%. The Johor side progress looks a bit slow with Bukit Chagar site still looks quite bare. For Singapore side, the tunnels and pillars for the land viaduct are almost completed but the entire land viaduct in Johor I still have not see a single structure yet.
Yes, lots of people are excited and waiting for the RTS Link to be completed! I cannot imagine next time I could take the RTS Link in JB and go all the way to Gardens By The Bay or even to East Coast Park for cycling! I am at Bukit Chagar now, I do see more activities at the Bukit Chagar site now compared to a week ago when I filmed the video.
@@heychong Yes, I have been receiving more messages from property agents recently stating tenants looking for places to rent. Also noticed the lifts stop at more floors now compared to the past due to higher occupancy.
Singapore's side should complete earlier compared to the Malaysia's side. I expect the project infrastructure for Malaysia's side to be completed by Dec 2024 and turns operational by Dec 2026.
I do think Johor side will delay, later Vs spore. I am not convince Johor side can complete as what u mention, looking at the pace on video captured😂😂😂😂. We r not as efficient as Spore ..... Sir
JOHOR BAHRU (April 5): Work on the Johor Bahru-Singapore Rapid Transit System (RTS) Link project is progressing well, and has now reached 32.42% completion to include various components such as the depots, stations, land lines and marine lines. 👆👆 👆👆Reported in Bernama (Msia national news agency) dated 5 April. Now it says 32.42%. OMG.....they report it to 2 decimal point percentage😅😅😅😅. It clearly indicating Mayau land side is far trailing behind Spore😆😆😆😆. That is why I mentioned earlier can Mayau land side complete on time or in advance😂😂😂. The goalpost keeps moving one😆😆😆😆😆
Barring any unforeseen circumstances, properties with easy access to Bukit Chagar site will be in demand and prices should appreciate. The key reason is the RTS Link is conveniently linked to the Singapore MRT network.
@@SGYap Yes. Condo's like R&F Princess Cove, already being snapped up as it has access to the station, surrounding immediate vicinity prices will appreciate 50% by 2026.
Just imagine by the time it completed, how many working Malaysian will be shifting back and stay in JB. Take into consideration that the current rental market in SG, for instance, 4 room HDB flat can command $3k monthly at current context, April 2023.
The rental rates for apartments with easy access to JB CIQ has been improving the past few months due to spillover effects from Singapore rising rentals. More and more of the Malaysians currently staying and working in Singapore are considering renting or buying properties in JB and travel daily to Singapore instead.
From what I see, likely will have some road widening and realignment near the junction of Jalan Tebrau and Jalan Salleh. I can already see a new bridge built there and a few houses from Kim Teng Park near the above-mentioned junction acquired.
Cant imagine a train station of this magnitude without a drop-off point. A drop-off point will be built along Jalan Salleh, which is also a mix development area to compliment the RTS.
The RTS Link connects Woodlands North TEL station with Bukit Chagar (with easy access to JB Sentral), it will be challenging to make it a straight line.
What a complete disaster and all the fault of the Malays. It lacks capacity from day one and has little scope for expansion at leak times. The Malay immigration, as always, be hopelessly inefficient and create massive delays. A proper link should have been established that would allow the causeway to be ripped up as it should have been decades ago.
Good jobs on the video of RTS progress, thank you 👍👍👍🙏
Thank you so much Patrick Boris! That made my day!

Hi Peter, from what I know, the RTS Link rolling stock consisting of 4 car trains can take capacity of around 600 to 1000 per trip.
Glad to see the heron and egrets near the Marine viaduct. Hopefully, this RTS Link project will be completed quickly according to schedule.
