Yubin was 18 turning 19 when she joined in Sept 2007 (born 1988), and Hyerim (new maknae) joined in 2010 when she was turning 18 (also 1992). At one point, it was a girl group tradition to cover WG Tell me (latest, New Jeans live) and SNSD Into the New World or Gee at some point in their career. WG and SNSD switched songs at one point too! WG was the only group for the longest time to go up against SNSD and win.
Yes! Wondergirls! We're finally here! Correct, Blackpink, Twice, and countless others have covered Wondergirls. Also, the covers are not even limited to just girlgroups (VIXX, I'm looking at you 😅 They covered So Hot and it was hilarious). I'm still hoping for a meeting between Wondergirls Yubin and Dreamcatcher Yubin (Dami) 🙏 Because they seem a bit similar. Calm, deep voice, great at rapping. And I certainly won't mind if Oh My Girl Yubin joins as well (as she is already a friend of Dami).

I remember when the English version of Nobody was always on Radio Disney so at the time, I thought the lineup we had at the time{which was Lim, Sohee, Sunye, Yubin and Yeeun} was an American group because they spoke such good English. Oh, and they were on tour with the Jonas Brothers at the time. Oh and had a Movie on Nickelodeon. Also Nobody would become the first K-pop hit on the Hot 100. At the time, between 2009-2012; the girls were doing promotions in both Korea and America. You can definitely hear a lot of their American influences on Wonder World, their second album which includes “Be My Baby”, my favorite song the group did to date. Yubin would join the group for Tell me, replacing Hyuna and Lim would join the group for Nobody, replacing Sunmi. You are going to love the other half of their catalog in terms of singles.

She's improved her technique as a singer but her unique vocal tone hasn't really changed much since debut JYP does have a habit of inserting himself into everything doesn't he 😂. But he was actually really involved with the Wonder Girls and their development in a way that he wasn't really with the other groups in his company. They all seem really fond of him. They spoke about it in a reunion interview that they did relatively recently Technically Yeeun is the only member who stayed all the way through from debut until disbandment 🥲
