Greg I use to fish at dungeness and stopped because of that reason so I fished dungeness Marsh instead and found it was far more fishable and its good for Dover sole too.
Found your channel tonight, subbed, likd and rang that bell....Iv Just got back from there tonight, first time Iv fished there in many years, but had a blast , non stop action Doggies Whiting and 1 dab (the target). my video will be out when i finish the edit.
I'll check it out 👍 thanks for the sub. I really dont mind catching doggies they keep you active at least. Dungie is not what it was even 10yrs ago. The fish seemed to have moved on to different areas
Another brilliant video mate. Was there last week only had whiting was trying for doggies and bass but there you go. Keep the videos coming always enjoy them 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Love your video. Had lots of trip there this year. Only had dog and whiting. Friend of mine had a bass on his first trip and sole along with whiting and dogs. Worth becoming DAA member for £10 plus £10 for key. You can park very close to shingles. We had a trip to your mark yesterday at S.Bay by sign. Didn’t even had a bite but at least we gave it a go. My son and me had to pack up early as it started pouring down. Keep them video coming thank you
GSPseafishing Thanks we enjoyed venue.Had a quick go at digging. We will def go back there soon. Is there any specific sort of tide do you prefer. Good luck.
It was quite a small tide when you went to Sandwich and I'm surprised it was out enough to dig. I always prefer a medium tide, something with a 60 - 80 coefficient
Yeah it is a must and long wires help. I was a little naive and look at the small tide coefficient and thought the current wouldn't be that bad, but it was🤦♂️
Take some 6 to 8oz fixed wire leads with you next time and walk and cast upside letting out a bow. They will hold much better than breakout leads. Good effort, lots of Whiting and dogs down there at the moment.
As soon as the tide started pulling I knew I should have had fixed wire leads but naively thought that with a small tide the rip wouldn't be that bad but it was🤦♂️
I enjoy your channel, being new to sea fishing I actually picked up a lot just from looking at your videos. Question do u need to be a member of Dungeness Members Association to fish in some particular areas in Dungeness? Or it's just that u get a key for that gate to open and park closer.
That is it! You get a key and get to join in club meets etc. You can fish anywhere along that stretch up until lydd firing ranges where you should abide by the red flags
I'm no expert on dungeness but I would expect cod, if any to show around now for a bit and then march but I don't think the cod are that prolific in recent years
Cut through the back of the head and through the artery that runs down the spin. This way you kill the fish and bleed it at the same time. They taste so much better if bled straight away. The electrical impulses in the nerve system continue contracting for an hour or more
On the 26 march 2021 at herne bay after Ray's The bait elastic you had where get it can I get as well all we get around Norfolk is thin not good but seeing your look like thick and on a cotton type spool please and thank you

Just came across you channel and have subscribed straight away 🎣 keep the videos coming 👍
Many thanks for the support! 👍
Went there today, had a few knocks but couldn't get them in. Between the 2 of us we only caught a Whiting... do you know if or when any Cod come in?
I'm no expert on dungeness but I would expect cod, if any to show around now for a bit and then march but I don't think the cod are that prolific in recent years
I thought i recognized him from Fuertaventura lol
How do you dispatch the doggies mate they are seriously tough to kill humanely
Cut through the back of the head and through the artery that runs down the spin. This way you kill the fish and bleed it at the same time. They taste so much better if bled straight away. The electrical impulses in the nerve system continue contracting for an hour or more
cut behind the head about half an inch deep with a very sharp knife. and it bleeds it great to get rid of ammonia
Can you see France from Dungeness
No not at all
@@gsp I think that you can see France from Dungeness when the conditions are clear!

The thick stuff was from a chap in Scotland on ebay. I havent been able to find it again for years, unfortunately 🤦♂️
Eating dogfish 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮 can't say I'd enjoy that boys
It's rock that you would buy from a fish and chip shop and it's as tasty as..! 😉
