    Hi Katie - thanks for your great content! I have been trying to absorb all things Pinterest for marketing my Etsy shop. I've read all about Pinterest's latest algorithm, and I'm trying to create a schedule. So, let's say that I have created five fresh pins for a new product in my shop. I pin fresh pin #1 on Monday to my "best in shop" board. I have three other boards that would be good for promoting this product. So, when would I pin fresh pin #1 to those three other boards? Then, further, when would I pin fresh pins #2, #3, #4 and #5? I guess I'm asking what the time flow is. How much time between pinning the same pin to multiple boards (and I know not to do this much - only if relevant), then what is the timeframe to start pinning the subsequent pins?
    Hope this makes sense, and thanks for all you do.

    Thank you Katie! This video was super helpful.
    I am just starting to utilize Pinterest to get traffic to my new blog, so I only have 19 followers on Pinterest currently. Because the algorithm first pushes out your content to your followers to decide if it should continue to push it out to more people, how does that work when your follower count is so low to begin with?
    Thanks for your help!

    I absolutely love your channel. Thank you for going over this tip. It is just what I was trying to fine tune. Pinterest can really take up all of my time. I recently upgraded my tailwind and I'm having a bit of a issue getting into the right groups. I keep testing but no luck. Any new advice for this?

    • @KatieGrazer
      @KatieGrazer  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ah, thank you 💛 I try to make every video as good as I can and they take a lot of time to make - so I'm really happy to hear you love my channel.
      You've upgraded to Tailwind - that's amazing! So quick question with "right groups" do you mean Tailwind Communities or Group Boards on Pinterest.
      I actually don't recommend spending that much time on group boards because they're really no longer effective to grow your account.
      With Tailwindwind Communities, I would just make sure that you find Communities that align with your blog or business and then answer their questions to access the group thoroughly. There're also many Communities that you can join without having to be invited. Btw. Tailwind Communities are awesome and still work great to get more reach on Pinterest.

  • @TheMuziko99

    If I create a blog article and I create 1 pin for that 1 article, can I pin that 1 pin to 10 different boards on the same day?
    Then I create a different pin for the same article and post it the next day to 10 boards, is that ok? And do this 10 days in a row.
    So essentially, after 10 days - I will have 10 boards filled with 10 different pins in each board referring to that 1 blog post.
    Hope that makes sense!

    • @KatieGrazer
      @KatieGrazer  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey there, I wouldn't recommend pinning the same pin to 10 boards on the same day. This could be spammy because then your followers will see the same pin show up 10 time. I would spread those out ideally 7+ days. And also remember 10 boards is the maximum I recommend and only 10 if you really have 10 boards which are relevant. Otherwise just pin to less boards

    Thanks you very much for your video as I learned a lot. Your voice is very nice and relaxing. Just wanted to ask a question for you or anyone to answer. I used to only sell watches via Pinterest so of course all my boards were everything to do with watches but I now have switched into selling women's jewellery which I have been doing for about five months now. I don't update the watch boards and now just make everything jewellery related. The watch boards have been very successful with lots of re-pins and 500k monthly views but my new jewellery boards and pins get very little views or engagement. Going through the analytics I can see a majority of my followers are male (90%) which kinda makes sense but I'm not sure what to do? Do I delete all the watch boards or just make them private as I'm wondering if they're killing my jewellery boards? In this video you said after making a pin it's shown to your followers first? which I'm assuming most have no interest in so Pinterest isn't sharing them further. My watch boards/pins used to get 1-2k views whereas my jewellery ones maybe 100 if I'm lucky. Sorry this is long but just wanted some expert advice. Thanks again for a great video.

    • @KatieGrazer
      @KatieGrazer  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, I get where you're coming from. It could be that your new jewelry pins just don't resonate with your male-heavy follower base. I still wouldn't delete the board as you would lose the followers following those boards. I think in your case (if you're really not planning on selling watches in the future again), hide your watch boards and just focus on your new content. You can press on the pencil icon when you hover over a board and then activate "Keep this Board secret ."It will hide your board from the public. Then I would try to attract your ideal customer base with your new boards and pins. Just make sure you're deliberate with your keyword in your Pins and Boards. It may take some time to even out your follower base. But if you do include the right keywords, you don't have to rely only on your follower, but your pins should also appear in the general search due to your keywords. Does this help?

    Hello, Katie! I am completely new to using Pinterest for business and am looking to drive more traffic to a new blog that will ultimately generate sales for my ecommerce business. I don't want to just link my products because I am interested in building a brand that has more rapport and useful information. After watching a few videos, I am still a bit confused on trying to hone in on a pin schedule. If I were to write one blog post a week and followed the recommendation of posting 5-10 pins a day - what would the remainder of the content be after that one blog post (is this just repins or is this where you add additional stories, videos, quotes, etc. of your own?) Would you also recommend posting that one blog post each day of the week with various new images? Thank you!

      So, if you don't have any followers yet, I wouldn't worry about the right pinning time too much. Focus on creating quality content and pins as well as your Pinterest SEO instead. This way your pins show up in Pinterest search. This means that people who arent' following you yet but are searching for something specific will find your pins.

    So just to confirm if I’m understanding fully, say I put out a blog post on Monday and For that blog post, I put around 15 pins on my Pinterest for that one post. If doing that, wouldn’t that clutter my Pinterest feed with the pins being so similar? Would that be appealing still?
    Sorry hopefully you question makes sense 😅

    • @KatieGrazer
      @KatieGrazer  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hey Destiny, yeah, your question makes total sense. I agree pinning 15 pins back to back would probably overwhelm your audience. What I do is spread out those pins. Let's say 3 days apart, or I sometimes even do more like 1 or 2 weeks apart. Also, just make sure that you're trying to point out different angels in those 15 pins. So use maybe another title or try to speak to a different audience to make your pins unique. I hope this helps 💛

    how much pin we can post on pimterest in 2021?

  • @isaac2k2

    I am into food blogging and been pinning food pins recently but in past I used to pin quotes. My traffic dropped a little but not sure if its because I started using Tailwind. I checked by analytics and it shows that half of my audience like quotes and quotes is 2 second in affinity after finance.
    Should I combine both food and quote pins together even though quotes hardly drive traffic to website.

    • @KatieGrazer
      @KatieGrazer  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey there. Hmm, that's hard to tell. So quotes are very popular on Pinterest, so they get a ton of saves. But quotes hardly get any clicks over to your site. So I would recheck analytics, and instead of looking at your top pins according to impressions, look at your top pins according to clicks. I think you'll have a better picture. Also, if you switched from quotes to food-related pins, it could also mean that audience you build expects you to see pins and not food-related pins. It could take some time to adjust them or grow a new audience interested in food.

      So pins in the shop tab are pins you directly uploaded from your online shop via a Pinterest plugins or a Pinterest catalog. All other pins will appear in your boards on your regular "saved" tab.

    • @KatieGrazer
      @KatieGrazer  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Blair, thanks for your question. If you have a relevant board for that pin, you don't have to create a new board. But, if you feel like "Nah" nothing really fits, then it's always a good idea to create a new board. Also, always add relevant keyword to your board description, that's so important for the algorithm ;)

    I am trying to pin regularly. I had 35K monthly viewers without much effort because it turns out my boards were in pretty good shape! I adopted your tips and things seem to be getting better. I am a florist and I post beautiful content that are usually professional images taken by popular photographers. However, I’m noticing I only get like 2-4 views per pin at this time. Is this normal? I am noticing that it’s gaining a little traction each day, but it scares me that I’m doing something wrong even though I’m making effort to actually show up and be consistent and I’m doing keyword research, etc. Are these numbers normal for the beginning?? I’d love to know what I can realistically expect in the beginning so I know if I’m completely off course! Thank you so much for all this amAzing info you are offering 🤍

      It helps me to go back and look at what people liked the most and what I did (like keywords I used, the headline, etc) then I do that again. That helps me maintain roughly 100-500 impressions with a few clicks on each pin
