Thank you, you absolute legend! Worked for us here in Australia. Got the part in store at Statewide appliances. Also had to buy a Torx 20 bit for removing the side panel.

I have the exactly the same Bosch dishwasher and had the same fault as shown on your video.
I followed your instructions (using the same supplier, Ransom, for the faulty part)and hey presto my dishwasher no longer has an error fault displaying and works like a dream.
So a big thank you to you for saving me god knows how much to call out an engineer to fix, instead, only had to fork out £20.00 (inc p+p)

I have this problem - the engineer from Bosch is £106 to arrive on site. Then on top is parts and labour! So you did alright.

Thanks for the video !!! Got the part and replaced it myself. Your comment stating that you had no technical background motivated me. Thank you 🙏

thanks DG for your great instructional video. I bought the new Part and installed it, now my machine is working again. I watched other videos but they were not very good so i was hesitant to do this job myself. After watching your video it gave me the confidence to have a go! so thank you very much !!

Well done! In my disastrous country ( argentina ) the sensor is not available, you are condemned to buy the whole flow meter.
Now, with a little work searching, I got the reed switch ( normally closed) and replaced it from the circuit board.

Are you having a Bosch dishwasher? And it had normally closed reed switch? I'm trying to get it clear what type of reed switch do I need for my Bosch Silence Plus dishwasher and it seems to be just opposite than yours. I'm quite certain that this is normally open what I have in this machine.

I ordered my part online outside of my country as they wanted a technician to replace it. The dishwasher is over 10 years old and it looks simple to do so I got it and replaced it myself. 32 euros with delivery.

Save some money and time - I fixed the reed in this sensor with a strong magnet - this loosens and demagnetizes it. Letting it sense the moving magnet. Worth a try for $0 :)

Thanks for providing a concise guide. Have just bought part for my Bosch from Ransom and hope it fixes the error. PS Love the switching off power supply for health and safety reasons - Where can I get foot protection like yours in the video 🙂

Nice fix :). Unfortunately on my Bosch it was the Zeolite container that had rusted through (plus some pipework failures) which gave a repair bill of c£300 in parts alone, so off to the scrapheap unfortunately at only 6 years old. It did give me a nice dismantling project at least though :)

Lightly tap on the water wheel (located under the sensor) with a tool when you start up the machine. It can become stuck if the machine has been idle for some time.

This is a great video. I have the same situation right now. I’ll try to replace the reed. But people who make videos on TH-cam in vertical mode, what’s wrong with you? 😄 Thank you!

Excellent. Only comment is parts manufacturers need to use better packaging. Two thirds of plastic in your recycle bin will be loaded in a container and shipped abroad. As China now refuses to have its plastic back, the final destination will be the ocean or a roadside fire in Turkey. Surely a well designed cardboard carton could hold this small part?
