I strived to such type of life all my time despite society intentions and people influence. And now I'm 39, I live in Batumi, Georgia, work in international IT company and skate & surf on the coastline. I'm totaly happy :-)

Super interesting life, I think she’s an example for young girls who think feminism is screaming at people they can do anything. There’s no need to yell anything, just do it, like Marta does!
    So cool and inspiring!
She should give some talks to show people is cool to be smart!
    Loved the video! 👏👏👏

What town in Spain did she say? I couldn’t understand the accent. Nice skateparks there. Curious about the surf there. I was trying to figure out how her interest in computers and technology and rockets tied into surfing and skating. Then she finally says at 3:50ish in I guess. When I grew up skating, there were skaters and computers. They didn’t go together. Skaters skated and had no time for computers. Kids with no athleticism who were just video game nerds became computer nerds. Two separate worlds. Now everyone is on a computer all day every day and that’s life.

I feel like often these two worlds are separated by a huge wall. But it is our responsibility to society to bring down all the walls that lock individuals, that don't allow space for self-expression. I love skate and surf. I love mathematics and computer science. I can do both. We are all free to do whatever we are passionated about.
On another topic, my hometown is called Sitges, there is one skatepark only, the second one you see is in Barcelona, in front of the office where I used to work.
Anyway, thanks for the support 🫶

@@martadavma yeah, I agree with you, I guess my point was more that when people view content on YT they generally have the idea that there’s a general focus. Like if I’m searching content on computers and rockets, and it turned into skating, I might think, “hmm, I thought I was getting computers and rockets”. I guess I view YT as a school of sort, and when I went to school math and history were in separate spaces. I get where your coming from philosophically, with the ideas that all borders between things should be dissolved, but in my experience, as nice as it sounds it tends to dilute the essence of what makes the uniqueness of individual things great. For example, I started traveling when I was 20. I visited 75 countries or so in the 5 years abroad, and by the end of my travels, because of globalism, each country became less unique, as if they were each losing their unique culture rapidly. Every nation started to copy the next.
I’ve also come to realize in life that greatness comes from singular focus, and that humanity’s strength is that there’s a rocket guy/girl, a computer guy/girl, and a skater guy/girl. Everyone has heard of Einstein, he had one focus. Just like everyone knows Kelly Slater, as he has said time and time again, the only focus he had for forty years was singular: surfing.
Maybe we just have different philosophies. Which is fine too. I didn’t understand the divinity in singular focus until I was much older. I played around everywhere, and was involved in everything all at once, all the time, for the entire first half of my life. Not sure that was a success. 🤷🏽‍♂️ If you think rockets, computers, and skating are meant to be one focus, more power to you I suppose. I’d love to see what comes of it, and hope that it’s a successful trinity for you. Truly.
I’ll have to look up that city. I am not sure where it is. I spent some time outside of Barcelona, in Mataró. I wasn’t skating then, I lost my focus for 25 years. But, it looks like Spain is the spot for skating these days. 🤙🤙
