One thing you could do, is stop portraying The Democratic Party as a leftwing party. You are to the left of an extreme right wing party but to the right of the middle in politic. "Normal" people don't want to vote for Marxist, Communist bla bla and you need to change that perception to what you are, a moderate right wing party.
Find a way to speak into the maga echo chamber, like the police foot in the door. Could be billboards. Try hiring some teams from other english speaking cultures to make the billboards an political ads. They may have a fresh new angle to the message.

Partly right but age was definitely a factor and you can't say it isn't. The real problem was the Democrats not running a primary and forcing Kamala Harris onto the American people and THAT'S what pissed off the American people. I know that I didn't want Harris at all. I didn't want Harris and I didn't want that old man either. The Democrats did this in 2016 as well when they forced Bernie Sanders out the door and picked Hillary Clinton to lead us. ABC, NBC and CBS totally avoided showing Trump slurring his words, stumbling and talking about fictional characters like he had dinner with them last night. Meanwhile they beat Joe Biden up for 2 weeks after the debate. They just kept hammering it home to the people. I have stopped supporting them by not watching their news programming. No viewers, no money from advertisers. We need to boycott those that got us into this mess.

    • @amyw1850
      @amyw1850 หลายเดือนก่อน

As biased towards Trump as these MSM stations coverage has become - they are still lambasted by Trump as left wing - and lack trust from the population as the same! Fox has so skewed the information in kissing up to Trump - that it's viewers, and the majority of US citizens who have little or no exposure to unbiased news are completely in the dark about the issues; or are just confused enough to not vote! Unfortunately, the propaganda is likely to get far worse unless we take major actions to protect the free press now!
What is really frightening, is that the Democrats don't seem to understand this - it is far less a problem with the message, than the fact that everyone is hearing the lies and buying into them first so that the message - if it ever does actually reach people already falls on a biased foundation!

The party that lives gets all the power to bully the other half. How about proportional representation. Any party that can gain enough support to pass a treshold is on the ballot. The winning parties create a program and form a pack to govern, the others form the opposition. Negotiate, give and take, continuous discussions and compromise. Yes, they blame the incumbent administration for high gas and food prices when it's actually businesses that set those prices, not the government. And they have been exceptionally greedy this time around. While overall costs rose from 3 to about 8 percent, businesses raised their prices much more than that, generally 20 to 35% and record profits proves that was the motivating factor. (not record income, but record profits). And why did costs increase? Because of the worldwide response to covid, of which Donald Trump was a colossal failure. The US represents only about 4% of the world's population but we had about 25% of the cases. Somehow Trump doesn't get any blame.

3 words, Not a chance! You can’t get your policy if you can’t win elections and have policies that allow you to get there. Either you carefully think through how you educate and engage with people around you to get to your goal, or you admit your goal is only to find problems and build community with those that fold their arms in protest because progress is not go enough and suffering needs to occur so true progress can be…destroyed and have to restart….stop the litmus test and grievances. Now innocent people will be kicked off their current healthcare all for the sake of people holding the country hostage because they didn’t get every last person the access to Medicare…pointless sentiment with life or death consequences: thank you!

One of the biggest takeaways from the 2024 election is that many Americans lack critical thinking skills when it comes to understanding how the economy works. Let’s break this down:
    The Economy Doesn’t Change Overnight
The effects of a president’s policies on the economy often take 2 to 4 years-or longer-to fully kick in. Immediate impacts, like tariffs or crashes, are exceptions.
Here’s what led us to the current situation:
    1. Trump’s Policies and Their Delayed Impact:
    • 2017 Tax Cuts: Gave short-term benefits to corporations and the wealthy but ballooned the national deficit, worsening inflation down the road.
    • Deregulation: Reduced protections in critical areas like finance and the environment, making the economy less stable.
    • Tariffs (2018): Increased prices on imported goods, disrupting global supply chains and contributing to record inflation.
    • Pandemic Mismanagement: Lack of planning for COVID-19 amplified supply chain issues, leading to product shortages and higher prices.
    2. The Biden Administration’s Response:
    • Recovery Efforts: Stabilized the economy after inheriting Trump’s mess, though progress has been slower than Americans hoped.
    • Missed Opportunities: Biden hasn’t removed Trump’s tariffs, which continue to hurt consumers.
    • Spending Abroad: Billions sent to Ukraine and Israel have sparked criticism, as many feel those funds could address domestic issues like infrastructure, housing, and healthcare.
The Impact of Social Policies on the Economy
State-level abortion bans are also contributing to economic challenges:
    • Declining Birth Rates: Americans are choosing not to have children, or they’re opting for vasectomies and tubal ligations to avoid the risks of pregnancy.
    • Talent Migration: Restrictive states may lose workers as people relocate to areas with better healthcare access and reproductive rights.
    • Healthcare Costs: Forced births increase financial strain on families and healthcare systems.
    What Americans Need to Understand
The record inflation and economic strain we’re experiencing now are direct results of Trump-era policies. However, Biden’s administration is not blameless-missed opportunities to reverse harmful measures and prioritize domestic spending have slowed recovery.
This isn’t about partisan blame; it’s about understanding how policy works:
    • Economic decisions take years to show results.
    • Leadership today is still dealing with the aftermath of decisions made years ago.
    • Social policies-like abortion restrictions-affect labor markets, population growth, and healthcare costs, further influencing the economy.
    The Takeaway
If we want real solutions, we need critical thinking and better economic education. The economy is complex, and it takes more than blaming current leadership to fix systemic problems.

    • @Jameson24241
      @Jameson24241 หลายเดือนก่อน

Your entitled to your opinion but some of your points are really off. The tariffs did not cause a supply chain problem. The supply chain problem came for the "supply shock" that came with covid. It's false that covid did not properly "prepare" for covid. Covid was a once in a lifetime event that no president in the history of our country could have "prepped" for. No matter if Obama, Clinton or Reagan were in that seat, nothing would have stopped the "supply shock", 22 million lost jobs, negative GDP, or the $3.7 trillion in debt from the two bills that were passed in order to save the country from collapse. But boy, the left loves to use the destruction covid did to the economy to skew Trump numbers. The most the tariffs did was create a minor trade war in 2018 im which our farmers took losses, but Trump was able to bail them out in full. And yes Biden kept almost all of Trumps tariffs, i wonder why? Maybe because they work? Biden even added a 100% tariff on Chinese manufactured cars such as the Tesla Model S and Model Y. Also tariffs target manufactured goods like ev batteries, solar panels, appliances, and clothing, to name a few. Not raw goods such as meats, fruits, vagatables, and other grocery items. Inflation was not an issue under Trump as you stated. Prior to covid and into their 4th years Trump only had a cumulative inflation of only 6.3% compared to bidens 17%. Net new jobs 6.8 million Trump Biden 5.5 million. Gdp 2.7% average Trump, Biden 2.2%. National deficit, $4.8 trillion Trump, $7 trillion Biden. Paychecks under Trump were outpacing inflation by almsot 10%. Trump brought the US to be the top oil producing county in the world since 1991, which bled into Bidens administration. Both had almost identical stock market performances. Now that more and more economist are looking at the cause for the high inflation and price gouging went through the roof with the passing of the Inflation Reduction Act. Too much money was pumped into the economy while we still had not recovered fully from the supply shock of covid. These facts can all be fact checked with the US Budget committee btw. I can keep going but i think i made my point.

From Professor Christopher Robichaud, Senior Lecturer in Ethics and Public Policy, Harvard: "Everyone in the days and weeks ahead will use this loss as an opportunity to seek validation for their own hobby horse complaint. Harris lost because she campaigned with Liz Cheney. Harris lost because she didn't embrace Gaza. Harris lost because she didn't choose Shapiro. Harris lost because she wasn't progressive enough (possibly my favorite one).
Take a good hard look at the map, my friends. Trump has won the popular vote. Trump ran the table. Explaining that with your hobby horse issue isn't going to cut it, tempting and consoling as it may be. The problem isn't the electoral college. The problem isn't that we didn't have a full primary. The problem isn't Harris. The problem isn't that Dems didn't have the right message. The problem isn't even inflation or the border. The problem is so much worse than any of those things. Those are all technical problems, with straightforward expertise fixes. If only it were so! No, our problem is not technical. It's very much adaptive. A party that embraced the Big Lie, supported an insurrection, and has been selling conspiracy-addled madness for years was widely and enthusiastically embraced. Voter turnout was profound! People didn't sit this out.
Simply put, the problem--as some of you have rightly posted--is cultural. America, culturally, has completely abandoned a politics of decency and respect and has embraced instead a politics of resentment, revenge, false nostalgia, and bullying. And if you look at the demographics, you also won't be able to comfort yourself that it's just a white thing, or a working class thing, or an education thing. It's multi-class, multi-gender, multi-educational and multi-racial. That's what winning the popular vote means. That's what running the table amounts to.
A culture that has descended to this level of debasement is not easily fixed. In fact it may not ever be fixed. The timeline for changing something like this is decades--at best--not two-to-four year election cycles. You can extend that in this case, because with the GOP likely controlling all branches of federal government and the courts, they will ensure that mechanisms are in place to keep them in power long after their popularity has waned. You can count on that.
The GOP evolved into a party of rage, lies, and revenge--and it correctly diagnosed that there was and is a large appetite for that. That's what the country wants. At least, enough of the country wants it to ensure broad appeal and widespread electoral success. The old GOP will never return, and the Dems have nothing to say to American culture at the moment. Nothing. They've been speaking to a country that's gone, like dust in the wind.
And that's my final thought, which my posts last night alluded to. The America I knew and loved is gone. This new America--nah, I won't even bother. I will say that cultural change is less likely to occur in politics, or in the academy. You're not going to get people to see how vulgar they've become through a clever argument or a nice campaign speech, that's for sure.
This would be time for the arts, broadly understood, to step in. The arts can change hearts and minds. Too bad the arts have been systematically dismantled in education in this country, and on the other end, the tech industry's assault on the arts through AI is sure to hollow out any good-faith efforts that might emerge.
And for the rest of the world, America's rightward lurch is, I'm afraid, bad news for you too. I know you know this. Because it's not isolated, is it? It's just at the moment the most prominent example of a burgeoning trend. And this will embolden others in other countries, to be sure. We need not speculate what happens when countries become mired in lies, embrace resentment, and savor bullying. We know exactly what happens. Bloody conflict and global destabilization.
The first quarter of the 21st century will therefore in hindsight be viewed as the seed-planting stage for the absolute shit show that's about to unfold globally over the next two and a half decades. Count on it. Adopt whatever coping and endurance strategies you have available. You're going to need it. I think that's all I've left to say"

Im 1st gen mexican and i can tell you that my family, aunts counsins etc and whoever busted their tails to become citizens could care less if someone is deported, especially if they are criminals. We also have enough common sense to know that there is always a risk of getting deported if you do not have your paperwork on point. So no we arent regreting it. Thats just some made up nonsese from the left to try and vote shame us. Im from California and last yeartheyy passed a law that we have to pay for illegal immigrants medicate costs and this year another law giving more tenant protection and proposed a new program to give illegals the change to get up $150k so they can buy a house when we dont even have that opporunity as legal citizens. Luckily Newsome grew some balls to block the down payment bill. But no i havent talked to absolutely anyone who regrets their vote, if they voted for Trump.

I forgot about that tax incentive she was proposing to give to growing families, in addition to the first-time home buyers assistance and the small business owner tax incentive! Sounds like she had a variety of proposals to really impact a wide swath of Americans with these plans, not just "concepts" of plans from the other side, and the outright lies and denial about what they are REALLY planning for all of us.

Yes. The living wage issue and universal healthcare both have been labeled as socialism, which fuels the fire of the Republican current brand. Big money, dark money, and corporations are effectively the ‘Fourth Branch of Government’.😞

You know, I appreciate both of you and I love watching your content. However, I am going to say this and I don’t care who hears. The reason Kamala lost has nothing to do with the economy, the dems message, etc, etc, etc…..the reason she lost is because they didn’t want a Black, Asian Woman in office. Let’s be real and honest. Yes we can talk to more people and get the messages across. She laid out her policies and plans clearly. They didn’t want to hear it, all they saw is a Black, Asian woman and that was enough. Come on, be real. I am not saying that all you are saying is wrong and that Dems don’t need to be improved and all that. But let’s call it for real the real reason she was not elected. And money….. can’t forget that! Just my two cents, no one has to agree or whatever, this is just my thoughts. 😐

Let's stay in the moment. Is there a reason the White House is silent? Where do I go as a citizen to get real time government updates that will give me a small measure of hope for a future not filled with violence and worsening poverty? Where is the White House? A voice of reason. This is a crisis.

A lot of this goes back to Marketing 101 last day of class decades ago when on the last day in the last few minutes of class our instructor told us: "If you got nothing out of this class all semester just remember this: when marketing products and services to the general public always keep in mind that they are stupid and lazy by nature". Now add in today's social media tied with so many folks having the memory and attention span of a fly along with instant gratification and then so many not getting all the facts/the whole story and then assuming many things - hence the MAGA group. Mix in someone like the old stinky narcisstic Orange Grand Nagus who has zero difficulty exaggerating & lying as a common part of anything that comes out of his mouth.
So even if the Orange Grand Nagus plunges us into a depression in the next few years - 4 years after that it will be hailed the best years/glory years as folks today have extreme difficulties seperating the real world from their imaginairy world....🤔🤨

The bottom line is her policies were better than his concepts and the "Big" lie about p25. They were telling their family and friends that it had nothing to do with him. When will people start to really think for themselves? They chose her policies over his in a blind survey. What really gives for this current debacle?
