Being two hours behind schedule only gives them MORE time in between to get it together, unless they were assisting in other duties outside of the videography and photography (which I doubt) The wedding/reception running behind may have caused the defendant and his crew frustration but definitely doesn't explain why it would cause the device to be damaged. I am a professional photographer and it is always standard practice to record to two cards so there is always a backup in case of a corrupted card. There is no excuse for losing data from a corrupted card. He talks a good talk, but he just can't walk the walk.

This case is proof that if a deal sounds too good to be true, that’s because it is. The plaintiff paid the defendant $2700 to do an engagement photo shoot, photograph and film her ceremony and reception, live stream the ceremony and run a photo booth during the reception. If the defendant was equipped to present a quality product in a timely fashion his fee would have been double that amount or more because the high quality equipment and software that would be needed to do those things isn’t cheap. The defendant was playing games from the very beginning.

His equipment should of been set to redundancy mode. This is a common issue in this business but there are systems available to minimize it by using two cameras, an assistant covering other angles and equipment that uses two or more SD card slots for redundancy. His contract should cover this, take the L, and give her money back.
The whole point of hiring someone to record/photograph your wedding is so you can have something to remember your special day. I’d be devastated if I hired someone that lost my footage & messed up my prints. Just sad. The audacity of him to have an attitude when HES in the wrong 😒

Marriage is a contract between two people to love, cherish, and hold each other for the rest of their lives. A wedding is a celebration of marriage spent with family, friends, and sometimes coworkers. God commands marriage, not a wedding. Weddings weren't even a big deal amongst the average person when the commandments were made🙃💀

His equipment should of been set to redundancy mode. This is a common issue in this business but there are systems available to minimize it by using two cameras, an assistant covering other angles and equipment that uses two or more SD card slots for redundancy. His contract should cover this, take the L, and give her money back.

The whole point of hiring someone to record/photograph your wedding is so you can have something to remember your special day. I’d be devastated if I hired someone that lost my footage & messed up my prints. Just sad. The audacity of him to have an attitude when HES in the wrong 😒
Just the thought of that happening gives me anxiety. The Plaintiff's evidence also suggests that the Defendant put the wrong name on the video. If it had captions, this has significant consequences. I know how long editing can take if you do it right.

My cousins wedding photographer made a big deal of "No pictures during the ceremony" because "I am the photographer!"
Because of that, and the photographer being negligent, she didn't have 1 picture of her ceremony.
To each their own but why no effort to clean up before going on national TV? She changed rooms and each room was dirty. Probably just me to even pay it any attention because I'm super picky like that🤦🏾♀️.

If I ever get married, I will have my peeps take pictures and shoot videos with their phones and get them sent to me from them. Cams on phones take lovely photos and video. That way everyone will have their own special memories of the day.
