Wow, this takes me back. Loved the alcohol super stocks. Terry Blackbourn on the Slowride years before I first saw it at the Elkhart County Fair in 1996. I had seen the Conner brothers at the Indy Super Pull many years before, but alcohol on a super stock in the early 80's was just weird.
R.I.P. Coleman Wheatley. I remember him pulling in South Jersey with a John Deere called "The Delaware Either Eater". When he moved to Indiana, he switched to Case IH. I think he had 3 of them at one time before he retired. He always sold custom farm toys also.
I remember watching Terry Blackbourn when he was running an alcohol burning Farmall 560. He had quite a time trying to get that tractor to run right. I was delivering parts for a local parts store back then. One of my stops was at the Blackbourn implement in Shullsburg, WI. I would see their tractor torn down in the shop, over the winter, while they were making improvements.
I wish you were Tony Fairwood still have their tractor pull but they did away with them I don't even care to go there anymore that was about the only reason I went thank goodness link for New York on back to 2 days instead of having the Jamboree
