I'm one of the firemen in the opening sequence at the fire station (Harborne in Birmingham) and later too. I'm the good looking one (yes ok lol) on top of the engine on the right. That was some years ago, I'm retired now..
You know what I love: 1. The guy at the beginning doesn't notice that one of his cars are missing. 2. Everyone seems to think a sentient toy car is a completely normal thing to see going along the street.
Omg I remember this show from when I was younger I'm 13 now but whoa it brings back memories!!!!!!!!!! :) right now im looking up shows I used to watch as a young child to bring back memories :) yay!!!
I grew up , watching this show. Although watching it in Japanese at the time when I was small, I can understand this show in English now! This is just fantastic!
This was one of my favourite shows. I used to watch Brum every morning and Postman Pat. I always wanted a Brum peddle car, but never had one. Perhaps I will have to get one for my son.
i was at a party a while ago and we were all bored and sitting around then my friend started making car noises LOL bbrrrrummmm brummm Then suddenley we all start talking about this amazing show and all the memories from it the whole night. I love this show!!!! Amazing!!!!
The thing i love about Brum and the old childrens shows is that they're not patronizing unlike nowadays. I think i used to have this episode when i was younger, it brings back memories lol.
Back in the late 90's my parents bought season 1 (and possibly 2) on VHS, i remember watching this for what seemed like hours. I always thought the "big town," was middlesbrough, because that was the only "big town," i'd ever been to, at that point. This IS my childhood!!!
Oddly my family live a 20 minute walk from the bridge at 1:22 in Oldbury, Birmingham. It was filmed in Birmingham but the Motor Musuem is the one in Burton on Water, awesome village :) the model train museum is amazing!
That theme that plays when he first gets out never gets old :) So catchy I was hearing it in my head before Brum even got out the door :D Ah what fond memories. The days when enterainment was original and diverse.
Brum was a replica of a late-1920s Austin 7 "Chummy" convertible. The opening sequence and closing sequence was filmed at the Cotswold Motoring Museum in Bourton-on-the-Water, Gloucestershire, England. Originally the programme was set in the city of Birmingham in England, hence the name: in addition to its onomatopoeic nature of a car engine revving, Brum is a common colloquial name for Birmingham and its inhabitants are known as Brummies.
Wow, this brings back some fond memories memories watching this as a kid. It was a great show. I also remember seeing Brum at Cannon Hill Park good times 👍😆
Look At Those Balloons Lifted Brum The Top Of The Building When The Firemen On The Fire Truck As Thunderbird 2's Mechanical Grabs And The Girlfriend's Doll And Her Three Helium Balloons. Awesome. X
