I love Jpop and Kpop, but there are quite a few Kpoppers (not all, but a few) who love to harass, compare, and attack other groups (which is funny because they usually can't take their own medicine if someone should ever criticize their favorite group). I think the only reason for the comparison is because when people think Jpop, they normally think of cutesy, childlike acts like Kyary Pamyu Pamyu and AKB48, and Faky has a sexy, sassy sound that is a lot more prominent in Kpop. However, Japanese artists like Hikaru Utada, Namie Amuro and Koda Kumi have always had that same sassy pop/R&B sound, too, and they began singing well before a lot of popular Kpop acts, so it's really not fair to compare the two because they've always been around in each culture.

Honest truth, both J-Pop and K-pop styles sampled off of western genre music (I say genre because there is music that is not just pop and dance music). I mean you can hear styles in Rap, R&B, Rock, Alternative, Pop, EDM, even in reggae, Latin, and Reggaeton.

Im a jpop and kpop fan....the thing I like about this group is that their mostly all mixrace girls, which makes them all unique.....it's disappointing that kpop doesnt have many mixrace singers, it's would make a bigger audience appealed to that group

Noone rips off anyone. It's all pop, dance. A lot of K-pop productions are very original and haven't heard anything like that in America. Same with American and J-pop productions. To be fair, this one doesn't sound too specific, just a general dance, pop track. Which doesn't mean it's bad, it's classic pop, dance music :D. Enjoy and dance to it or go listen to something you like.

The great thing about being mixed is that the traits vary from person to person... there are many mixed people who look completely Asian, Black, White, etc. For example, I am 3/4 Black and 1/4 Cuban... but I look much more Spanish than Black. I think Tina does look a little Japanese but she definitely looks more white than Asian.
Agreed. Berryz Koubou was my favorite, but then I found these girls. -not to mention BK has disbanded- I want more J-pop like this when it comes to groups. I don't mind the idol stuff, but there needs to be more normal J-pop like this to balance it out.
Ever since I found k-pop and j-pop, I've always leaned more towards k-pop because for me, every j-pop group I gave a listen to were too cutesy. And the j-pop groups that weren't cutesy still sounded the same as the rest (in terms of their voices), which annoyed me greatly. But damn this group's sound is AMAZING. The great thing about being mixed is that the traits vary from person to person... there are many mixed people who look completely Asian, Black, White, etc. For example, I am 3/4 Black and 1/4 Cuban... but I look much more Spanish than Black. I think Tina does look a little Japanese but she definitely looks more white than Asian.

I want more J-pop like this when it comes to groups. I don't mind the idol stuff, but there needs to be more normal J-pop like this to balance it out.

Ever since I found k-pop and j-pop, I've always leaned more towards k-pop because for me, every j-pop group I gave a listen to were too cutesy. And the j-pop groups that weren't cutesy still sounded the same as the rest (in terms of their voices), which annoyed me greatly. But damn this group's sound is AMAZING. FAKY, you've got yourself a new fan xP
