The Quattro/4motion on the A3 platform (golf r/s3/RS3) is actually a haldex quattro. It can send up to 50% of its power to the rear and front with torque vectoring. However, when cruising, the rear clutches decouple with the prop shaft making it fwd. Hence why u get the feel of a fwd car when going straight or cruising. Its also different from torsen quattro (can be found in a5, a4, q5 and so on) in which its permanent awd can send up to 85% of its power to the front or rear wheels depending on the condition.
Now time for me to speak as a former Audi A3 Sportback owner. I had a 2011 model with the 2.0 TFSI, 200 PS and 6-speed manual. The car was literally a beast and it looked classy at the same time. The interior felt very upmarket and was definitely comfortable, much more than the Golf 5 or Golf 6 anyway. However, one thing I hated and still hate about German cars is the policy of making money by selling additional packages for stuff which should be standard, such as seat pockets, front and rear armrest, power folding mirrors, electric seats, navigation, etc. Finding an Audi like this one is extremely hard and having such a configuration as standard would be considered by me as full spec already. Also for a price of 240k it seems like a steal considering mine was just a little cheaper as a brand new car and didn't feature nearly as many nice features as this one.
As for the engine and gearbox combo, Yeezy did the right choice. The wet clutch is more reliable than the dry clutch and also the engine itself will have less issues with the timing chain as well. Usually the 1.4 7-speed DCT models experience the most problems and often resulting in the engine to go GG and the gearbox too.
All in all I love this particular A3, because as a sedan it just looks enormously handsome and sporty at the same time. Definitely better than an A-class 👍🏻. Sadly it's an auto, because that's what ruins the fuel economy and the performance. 600 km with one tank shouldn't be a problem if the shifts happen at 2000 rpm 👌🏻.

@@ndt2046 Not on this engine. I got same engine and tranny on 8p model and best mileage I ever achieved was 500km at 100 km/h freeway. City drive 400km max, light foot and never touching S mode
Fuel tank is 66L though, not 50L
