    I enjoyed the lecture, but I have a question. In the previous lecture, you said that if there are two or more pages with the same keyword, there may be an encroachment problem. If I create a new page again with a keyword that already has a Google ranking on my site, which is the topic of today's lecture, there is a Google encroachment problem. Is there any? Or, rather than writing a new post with existing keywords, should I upgrade and revise it?

    At 11:40 - costs for backlinks estimated at 300 per range. I understand this was for example purposes, but I have questions.
    Is this estimate based on time spent acquiring links? Say, a few hours per acquisition?
    Or, is this through buying backlinks direct from the source?
    What is least expensive route, assuming you have more time than money, to acquire links?
    Appreciate hearing from experienced SEOrs

    I'm sure this is a lovely video if somebody already knows the seemingly endless acronyms but I do not so I didn't even make it past 5 minutes. When did it stop being general practice for someone to say a full phrase then cite the acronym for the rest of the time. For that matter how much time is really saved with acronyms in a TH-cam video vs just saying the phrase so everybody can understand it?

    So if I discover a transactional keyword, like 'rent x in london', that's not going to really be targetable on the main page, right? Just because it would be spammy to have that in an h1and title tags? So I could target 'x' on the main page, and have pages that reflect local content ('rent x in london', 'rent x in birmingham' etc). I'd just have to be careful not to mention 'rent' or individual locations on the main page to avoid cannibalisation?

      Competitive sites have hundreds of backlinks. 300 dollars for one!? I'm going to spend 90k on purchasing backlinks when the reason I'm learning Seo in the first place is to create a better ROI in the long run by saving money and investing my time into SEO especially in the off season. Spending 90k for an algorithm that changes multiple times a year aint for me dawg or anyone else.

    I have a question. If i add a block to my home page with blog snippets will these snippets count towards the seo for my home page or for my blog page or for both and if for both is it a problem for duplicated content? Also I’ve heard its good to go for lower search easier to rank keywords to begin with but are you then stuck with your page title for your home page being low search volume?

    • @semrush
      @semrush  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Small amounts of duplicated content from feeds or testimonials won't hurt you on a small scale. You should only be concerned when entire pages are being duplicated at scale

    One question: To avoid keyword cannibalization, if the (SERP Overlap Score) and (Relevance Score
    ) are over 50, do I have to merge both keywords on one page or can I, but don't have to? For some keywords + city I see different results, sometimes no "Relevance Score" at all and for some cities 40 to 50! So I thought for all cities to make separate pages, is that a good decision?
