    1) Dope reviee CT, as always.
    2) I very much love the aesthetic upgrade to look far more in line line with the 44 G2’s.
    3) Very happy to see the UI is more consistent across the Maui line with the intro of these updates.

    I have the G3s and think they can cover up to 175 depending on the room. With the ability to adjust the volume and bass on the back, it has never been an issue of not enough volume but too much volume were we are told to bring the music or sub down.

    Thanks for the vid. Any chance you could say how these stack up to the RCF Evox J*?

    The good thing about the 44's is that you can take just one for parties with up to 100 people in smaller rooms and comfortably take on larger (200+) guests with two in medium size rooms. I still run two 28 G1's and have yet to make the decision to go for the 28 G3 or 44 g2. With two 28 G1's i can handle about 100 guests in a small room, and i wonder how much of a difference actually the G3's make?

    I like the simple, no frills approach to this review, like a Tech Thursday extension. However Cleveland, from the way you use the term "Cardioid mode". It seems like you do not fully understand what that alignment is meant to do. Increased bass output in the forward plane is just a small side effect of its true purpose. If increased bass output is what you desire its best to just leave the additional subwoofer in normal mode. For example, the addition of a subwoofer in a normal configuration will add 6dB of additional output, while cardioid mode will only add 2-3dB at best.
    Cardioid mode's true purpose is actually to significantly attenuate the bass output behind the subwoofers, usually by 7-15 dB in most configurations. For DJs, especially those who like to put their subs in front of their booth; under the table they mix on; or have a wall close behind them, this removes a lot of the excessive bass that they would otherwise be subjected to. Some DJs and live bands like that excessive bass, but to most its overbearing and also makes monitoring difficult for live performers. So, enter cardioid mode. But don't take my word for it. Do some research and fact checking please.
    Thank you for doing this review. Viewers with an objective mind should find it very informative and useful!

      @ionitarazvan8320 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Very well said and explained, those who want more bass will connect it in normal mode not cardioid, 6db normal mode vs 2...3 db cardioid!

  • @lucabertolaso2167

    Evox j8mix is cheaper, adjustable pole is way more versatile, change the height in a second, turn the top without touch the sub, or placing the sub facing a corner and have the top in the centre of the room.
    23 kg, smaller/discrete top, and the main benefit, it's a pure array, no crossover, better uniformity in long distances...
    I assume that They put an horn tweeter to reach long distances, but If 3-4 people stand in front of the array, the sound will be attenuated by a lot because most of the drivers are at human height.
    Db technologies es 802 is way lighter, and you can buy 2 of them for the price of 1 maui

    No eq. whatsoever, even via an app?
    Also you didn't address the obvious: how do they compare (loudness) to the classic line-array trio: EV50, JBL PRX One, Bose L16? I found "quality" is not as important as "loudness" on a wedding dancefloor.

    • @AllenFern24
      @AllenFern24 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That lack of EQ or a mixer was an intentional choice because of how many DJ’s & musicians run external mixers for more control, so no point in adding a mixer if it’ll never be used.
      Same thing with a lot of RCF units. I LOVE my ART912A’s because it’s super simple to just plug in & go, no need to EQ or adjust since I do that on my external mixer anyway.

    • @Realdjheisenberg
      @Realdjheisenberg ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AllenFern24 i was hoping that there would still be a basic eq. via the app. I agree I would never use a built-in mixer, i only need one input (I don’t even need a stereo input). Yet having a basic eq. and/or feedback suppression DSP saved my ass on multiple occasions.
      If the 28G3 is louder than the EV50/PRX-1, I’ll still grab a pair even without built-in equalizer.
